It would i agree, he should so buy them wheels. They would just finish it off a treat, would look so awdesome it'd be a magazine cover car with those wheels, instead of just a feature car....... lol ;D

ok, stop saying nice things about my car, you're making me shy, and its not finished yet anyway :D

And secondly I'm not going to reveal too much apart from to say that assuming negotiations go well the calipers might not be the last thing made by KAD to be fitted to my car......;D

loads to tell but I haven't got much time as I'm off out in a few mins - but here's a pic of some of the new bits that have gone on - KAD rose jointed engine steadies :w00t:

(Couldn't buy Jammy's wheels in the end :w00t: Which is a bugger) (oh, and sorry about the C**p photography, I was in a rush!)

Got an electric fan fitted too:

Mostly because of lack of funds and also Jammy's are 7x10 - I wasn't sure how they'd fit on my car because they have quite a deep offset and I *hoped* they'd mount on and allow me to keep my group 2 arches - as I don't want to mess around re-arching the car just at present. But they stuck out a good 2 inches when Jammy tried them his car (also group 2 arches) :w00t: . KAD do however sell the same wheels in 6x10 with a narrower offset - so watch this space :w00t:

If you're serious about that Jammy then make enquiries!!

The car is running! :w00t: All back together, couple of teething problems which I'll explain tomorrow, and I'll get some pics - but lets just say its good fun again, the gearbox is so much nicer, I can engage first!

How much did the KAD steady set you back. I swear you have won the lottery and not told us! Either that or you have raided a van on its way to suppliers of KAD parts!

Not quite won the lottery, although I plan to do that soon! They were expensive, but worth it as the engine is held tightly, even with the uprated clutch its not moving around, in fact its held more firmly now with three steadies than it was before, and it had 4 then, including an ultimate engine steady!

Here's a pic of the engine bay, the oil cooler pipes will be done tomorrow so I can get that plumbed in:

The problem I had yesterday was the O/S driveshaft kept popping out of its pop joint, resulting in a total loss of drive, meaning it had to be towed for the first time since I've owned it :teehee: It was my fault, I didn't fit a new spring clip when I had the chance too. Anyway, I split the ball joints, removed the hub and fitted a new clip (had loads in stock), and job was a good'un. The KAD brakes are settling in nicely, got them quite warm yesterday during progresive braking, they seem to be biting well, if slightly spongey...No other problems to report apart from a minor oil leak, but I think I know what that is, so its all good.

Here's a pic of it taken in the lights of my other car last night, didn't have time to wash it after the rebuild so its a bit dirty, but its finished :P

Oh yeah, and I'm running it on the HIF44 until after the Riviera Run. AC Dodd is hopefully RR'ing it on the 10th May, so I'll fit the twins with stub stacks just before then, to ensure I don't do long term damage by running it un-set-up.
