(no pics as i fogot to take my camera and my phone was on charge in the van. and died when i took it off charge)
Also, there's a sportpack/mpi steering colum with stalks, key and colum surround on ebay which i need if i'm fitting the later airbag wheel, so looks like i'll be getting that, just waiting to hear back cfrom the guy to see how much postage is.
Been weighing up engine options aswell. I think i'm going 1293 for now, my local mini specialist said they can build one to any spec depending on my budget, i was thinking between 800 - 1000? Does that sound reasonable? In with that budget i'm hopin to gave a reconditioned gearbox (who is t off here that does them, Guesworks or something?)
After the engine's gone in, it'll be time to save up and i think i want to supercharge it, looking at vmaxscart's kit. Should be quite fun with the tourque of the 1293 and the extra boot the 'charger will add.
Interior wise, i've worked out i still need a set of black seatbelts, the ones that are in don't match, redo the radio wiring harness, rewire the headlight harness, especially if i'm changing to mpi stalks. The 2 speed heater will need a couple of pipe modifications, i think the 998 hoses are on the opposite side to the mpi ones? anyone know? As far as wiring goes, i'll have to run 1 wire for the earth and i think that's it.

Jimmy Mac was down at the mini club wednesday night, but didnt stay long.
Build the engine yourself, its great fun and learning.

4 x upright seam trims, the ones on mine have rusted a bit at the bottoms, so might aswell replace them.
Bargain @ £9 each and next day delivery too!
Hopefully, the car shouldn't take much longer either, then i can get the wiring sorted, then painted
