Decided to treat the car to a decent polish and wax session tonight, already washed and dried it off last Saturday night, so broke out the Super Resin Polish followed by a healthy dose of Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax. (Bloody good stuff but I smell of coconut/vanilla because of it :- )

Once again, excuse the dodgey Iphone pics, I forget that I have a DSLR at times ;D

Really happy how it came up, although it could do with a good going over with the machine polisher, it's picked up loads of swirls and loads of tiny scratches from being in the garage, mainly on the roof and bonnet.

I also found the 3rd brake light that used to be fitted, so cracked on and got that fitted and wired in. No excuse that you can't see my brake lights now.

While I was in the back of the car fitting the brake light, I decided to remove that dodgey looking dealer sticker that had welded itself to the glass, so with the aid of a big flat wood chisel and alot of swearing, the sticker came off, leaving all the glue behind, so next job is to find something to remove it. You may think using a wood chisel is a bit pikey, but it was all I had in the garage that would work, I usually take my van over to the Mini so I have tools, but decided to waft over in the Range Rover so had no tools on me :sneaky:

Cheers dude, I'll take my proper camera next time I'm over because I want to build up a few layers of wax now that the weathers getting worse, I was surprised how deep the shine was even after one coat though. Might give the under sides of the bumpers a coat too. Been told that Auto Glym tar remover will shift the sticky mess left by the dealer sticker too, so that gives me an excuse for a skive tomorrow :-

Yeah good plan! Took me a while to figure out the roof one, couldn't make out what was what. Suppose thats a good thing though, considering i thought the reflection was the actual garage roof :-

haha, my mother couldn't tell what the side reflection was at first, she was puzzled for ages until I told her it was a reflection of the garage wall :-

Yep - Took me a while to work out what on earth that roof one was, too - Absolutely amazing shine!

For the glue from the sticker, I always used to use a thing called "Sticky Stuff Remover" - I think it was Betterware!

This stuff?

I think I used some to get the glue off that was left after I took the tint film off the windows. I wonder if there's any left in the garage...

Morning there mate, don't suppose you could post a link for the USB serial adapter you got from ebay could you?? My MJ still won't connect to my laptop, and i don't know whether it's the MJ box, the laptop, or the adapter. Cheapest one to start with is the adapter!

Cheers, Paul.
