Green & White, they're well known round here for their quality of work so it will be in good hands.

Just had a call from Green & White asking what pads i want in, he said they can fit standard pads, or EBC Green stuff pads. I opted for standard ones as i was under the impression that the green stuff ones weren't really neccessary on an ordinary road car like the Mini, the brakes should be decent enough with just the 4 pots. Am i right in thinking that green stuff pads are a bit of a gimmick?

Ian also mentioned that the new windscreen is now cracked due to the windscreen appeture being too small, they got to the last corner putting the window in, and it cracked, he said it was due to the new scuttle panel being a tad larger than it should have been, so they're gonna get the grinder on it and enlarge the hole. Let's hope they cover the cost of the screen! If i have to buy a new one myself, i may go for a heated one, i'm unsure yet though, i'll wait and see what they say.

Green Stuff pads are said to produce less brake dust. Your rims will stay clean longer.

hmm, i might see how the standard pads go, then if they're not upto much, i'll change them for green stuff.

Standard pads will be fine with the 1275 motor,i have ran the metro 4 pots and standard pads on a bit higher specced 1275 before and had no problems with them.

Green stuff are ok in my experience but you here mixed reposts about them, suppose pad choice really depends a lot on your driving style.

yeah, i've heard that too. The car will be a weekend thing really, just for the occasional blast over some countryside b-roads, the standard pads should be more then adequate i would have thought.

Suppose the first place i should really try the car out when it's on the road is Hartside Pass. I driven it a couple of times, best time was in my Accord Type R, awesome roads, most look like this...

Should be a good test for engine, brakes etc.
