Cooper Spi gearbox

Is there any difference in a cooper SPi gear box and a non coooper SPi gear box?

basically no.. well apart from the cooper may have a 3.4 FD where as the non-cooper ones probably have a 3.1.... other than that exactly the same.

As far as I have seen the Cooper gearbox has a 3.2 final drive, and the non Cooper has a 3.1 final drive. This would make sense with factory mass production, as the only part thats different is the crown wheel. Other than that the two gearboxes are identical
