edit: it would probably have been cheaper if i put it in my mum/dad's name, but this way i earn my own no claims discount
That's naughty though if you're the main driver

Well confused.com put the cheapest quote at £600. That was with the AA, so I went onto the AA site, filled in the form, so going direct, The offered £369.00, I thought that was good, but then a little screen popped up saying their sister company Sabre could save me more, So I checked that out, And guess what.......
£85.00 a year fully comp with everything except breakdown (as i use the RAC, much better)
So my advice is... If you use a comparison site, the cheapest they tell you, go to that companies website and go direct. You will need to fill in all your info again, but if it can save you!! Well worth it

You lot are being done on your insurance! I'm 21, 1 years no claims, 998cc cooper S, valued at £4,000 as she will be in immaculate condition after re-shell which they know about (they sent someone out to agree the valuation), she's 1978, I lost my license to medical reasons and had to re-take my test, use for business, social, domestic, and road events, unlimited milage, with the AA fully comp... What do you recon??

Blimey, that's pretty cheap. That price at 21, you lucky git.
Sabre do give a good price, I got a quote for £1200, considering I'm 18 and the car has modifications and to quote James May "parked on the street in a part of London that's usually on fire", I didn't think it was too bad. I was getting quotes of less than a £1000 without modifications, anyone know any Insurers who are a bit more tolerable of modifications.
Things should get better when I'm 19.
