So why then is mine an 84 MK4 with the above?
*Just read the link above*

So mines a mark 4 but with mk5 running gear, this mini confuses me more day by day.

Don't know mate, but the MKV kicked in with the launch of the 12" wheeled/8.4" disc braked 1984 Mini 25 LE and then the Mini City E and Mayfair were equipped likewise that year.

here we go again....

Mk 1: August 1959 - October 1967,
Mk 2: October 1967 - December 1969,
Mk 3: December 1969 - May 1976,
Mk 4: May 1976 - October 1984,
Mk 5: October 1984 - May 1992,
Mk 6: October 1991 - August 1996, (overlap due to cooper going to Mk6 before other models)
Mk 7: August 1996 - October 2000,

i did start a series of articles for Rugby Classic MOC on the differences of the models but they never got finished, got as far as the mid 90's i think (cooper, cabriolet etc).

keep meaning to turn them into a web site one day,

well, i have finally made a start on turning these articles into a website.

it's very basic at the moment and i need to do a lot of work on it.

there will be a "lot" more pages added later but at the moment i have simply pasted up the text from the first few articles that i wrote, i may need to re-word this in a few places.

the main variants will be added in the next few days and then i will have to set about writing the last few pages to finish it all off.

i'm also going to find a fresh new set of photos to add.

OK, Ive added all the pages to the Mini Mark site that i think i'm going to need.

some have yet to be written but most have the basic text in place (cooper 90-2000 needs a major re-write)

just need to work on the presentation now and get it looking nice.

if anyone has any comments or spots mistakes, just say or PM me please.
