The car was being built for track days so i doubt it was for rear speakers, but i suppose it could have been in there from before...

i might still use it yet for my fuel pump....

thanks
Jim

I wouldn't use it for the fuel pump if I was you, household cable isnt stranded and isnt meant for the vibrations in a car so may cause problems down the line.

Cheers

im sure some of the 4 core cable that in ripped out is actually automotive stuff, as all of the household stuff was removed from the dash and right at the rear of the car....

it is stranded cable and not too heavy duty....

thanks

Rite, iv had some more time to spend on the car today...

iv mapped out and started setting up the intercooler to where i want it....

what do u guys think?

(it will have ducts and tubing to it... and the top hose that looks like it will stick out of the bonnet will be moved so the front will close propperly...)

Small update, iv fitted some new rear lights, and some clear indicators too....

Posted Image

Done the left one too obviously...

also fitted a new column and switch gear as there was a manky one jammed in there, also fitted all my chrome wiper gear that arrived from midland wheel supplies on friday...

and just trial fitted my new smooth boot lid that arrived today (thanks Tommf)

just got to paint it to match....

Posted Image

Iv trial fitted one of my bucket seats but the frames that are welded in the car are too tall so im gonna have to chop them down and fabricate some of my own....

most of the parts to finish the car have now arrived so time is the only thing slowing me now.,.... lol

thanks
Jim

Really nice project mate although i think the steering wheel may need changing to match the rest of the interior. Fancy doing my wiring when i get my arse in gear.
Whats meant to be so special about the gearbox?
Are you having rear seats?

I dont realy know what is supposed to be trick about the gear box, he didnt realy explain...

apparently the lad had problems with the 'box before he took it off the road for the full rebuild...

he apparently managed to get a brand new one with some trick bits (what i dunno yet!!)

I havent even heard the engine run yet so i dunno if it even works..... all part of the fun really...

here is a bit of progress i made tonight....

nearly got the dash finished now...

Yes now you mention it it looks like one off of one of thier biger vans Mov.. some thing cant remeber the name. Have you had to make any bonnet moddifications or anything like that? Does it suit your needs?

Sorry about the questions mate, Tell me to shove off if you fancy! haha

I havent had to make any bonnet mods as i have a flip front, i think it should fit under nicely....

I dont know how well it will work either as i havent had the engine running yet...

I bought it as a project so its all a mystery to me...

Thanks
Jim
