do you think this is my original battery tray ?

it's a proper one, welded in properly and the original body colour (it's had about 6 different colours since then)

Posted Image

the drivers side metal work is all done now, filled and zinc primered

Posted Image

passenger side has had a few patches

Posted Image

next is to replace the chassis top and battery tray

Very pretty. It's suspiciously Pageant blue-ish, isn't it? Huey will be jealous.

had the messy job of waxoyling this morning, done above the gear box and all the box sections of chassis and around the engine bay

some how in this little area i got through almost 5 litres :(

this afternoon i got the gear box refitted, I'm sure there must be a easier way than lying on your back bench pressing it into position with 1 hand while the other trys to stick a screw driver in the mounting holes

Posted Image

got the clutch cable connected and a new conduit + shift rods

Posted Image

as most of the shiny paint is now covered with waxoyl here are some more of the engine bay

Posted Image

Posted Image

drive shafts tomorrow + new CV boots

today i turned my attention to sound proofing

fitted some sound deadening pads to the roof of the engine bay

Posted Image

and fitted some heat insulating to the metal panels that fit to the roof of the engine bay

Posted Image

i just need some replacement foam type stuff now as the old stuff was to burnt to reuse

Isabelle (baby Bungle) came out in the garage this afternoon and helped me refit the sound deadening and the metal plate that holds it up

smoothed off the bit at the top where the single carb sat and narrowed the sides so they don't rub on the delli's

+welded up a few holes and cracks on other bits of tin ware
