while everyone else was eating a soggy sandwich the skipper and crew from diamond chaser were seated around table and chairs eating lamb hot put with coffee cake for afters


we were the talk of the boat park, even the harbour master came over for a look
that's it now off the road for the winter refit

weld up the holes in the engine bay and repaint (battery trays chassis rails)
refit new gear box, check engine (missing tin ware ETC )
refit fuel tank, new hoses ETC
refit engine
MOT and what ever is needed
would be nice to be back on the road for April May at the latest

Engine, box and fuel tank removal is about 1/2 a day (including tea breaks)engine, gear box and fuel tank out
weld up the holes in the engine bay and repaint (battery trays chassis rails)
refit new gear box, check engine (missing tin ware ETC )
refit fuel tank, new hoses ETC
refit engine
MOT and what ever is needed
would be nice to be back on the road for April May at the latest
Welding and painting another 1/2 day
Refit everything about a day.
Weekends work at the most


And yes i still have my '71 camper

so much quicker than a mini engine, 8 bolts, fuel pipe and accelerator cable and it's out
gear box tomorrow, drive shafts are held in with 8 bolts each end, clutch cable, shift rod and another 4 bolts hold the box to the chassis and it's out
