Yeah I would of thought it would of turned out blotchy like it does when roller painting walls but I suppose you use special rollers?? Looks really good though, I will look into it when I come to paint my mini.

When do you hope to have her on the road?

the evenings this week i have been insulating, first the cab roof to keep the little people warm



then the front panel



biggest problem with painting is the drying time, Mrs B is not impressed

the blue is now finished





just needs flatting down and polishing up in a months time

the inside has been painted pastel white and is finished, but had a bit of a door pillar disaster with runs and the masking paper blowing onto it



and even fitted everything back on the front end to make it look more finished

really nice dude!, how much paint to thinner was you using?

about 60% paint and the rest white spirit

you need to squeeze almost all of the paint out of the roller or else it will run

yeah, and i have not been to a mini show yet.. but a few of my mates ar einto the old vw's and i went to big jam with them last year... was amazing!

not much done today

painted the underside



refitted the drivers seat and seat belt, with bolts this time rather than weld the seat to the floor



spent the rest of the day making a chicken run

Did you run out of Dolly paint and use some left over from the Mini?

And are you starting a sweep-stake on how long the chickens take to turn into fox food?

the underside is now waxoyled and i have just finished painting the last cab door

i have been spraying the tops of the cab doors as it's such a small area, but can't match the good finish i get with a roller

it's fine until i have to hang the doors to get Dolly away for the night and then i get runs

i have now set up a spray booth in Jonbott's caravan to give me more room

this afternoon is start fitting out the cab doors

i now have 1 door painted, insulated, locks on and winder mechanism in



glass and channels tomorrow

didn't find it the worse job in the world, everything went together really easily with no problems
