I'm just prepping my mini for spraying and i'm wanting to know wether i can wipe over the rubbed down factory paint work with panel wipe or will it cause a reaction?
Is panel wipe just for bare metal?
thanks

what's a tack rag?

also what paint should i use to spray the car? At one time the previous owner had sprayed the car with halfords rattle cans which are 1pk so i need a paint that won't react with what is left of that. so which type of paint is suitable?

yes you can use panel wipe to go over anyting, its quite good for cleaning actully. ive read alot of posts about paintwork on here and alot of people sound like rite no.bs lol, the panel wipe is to get rip of ur paw prints and any other greasy marks, the tack rag is used just before paint to get rid of static dust, not esnentul tho. i work at a crash repairs gaf so i shud no stuff like this :(
