What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
Also what are your plans !
I have just bought a K reg British Open Classic, the only real mod is a K&N filter and a big bore exhaust which just fell off!
Signed up for a bit of help and advice as this is my dream car and want to keep it that way.
As I said exhaust has come off and the Y piece is now sat in my car, is this an easy repair? Have bought a new one from Mini Machine in Darlington

I nearly finished my 1400cc stage 3 head with twin 45mm Weber side draft. I have also installed a remote Amp performance distributor and a silver Top Facet fuel pump and a filter King. It is meant to have 140BHP and was originally a SPI cocper. It has full adjustable suspension with Protec coilovers and full poly bushes including subframe ones. The brakes are 7.9" four pot vented Minisport fronts and KAD rear disk conversion. I have joined this forum because I will need help soon in starting the car
I have done all the work myself including wiring the fuel pump with a Ar201 relay. Just got it ready turn the key and NOTHING, the starter didn't do anything. Just wanted to introduce myself
Cheers,
Rory

Currently, none! I don't even have my licence yet! But before my grandfather passed away last year he asked me to put part of my inheritance towards making a mini my first car, and if there's a job to be done, I might as well do it properly! I have about £2000 roughly to buy the mini and then a further £1000 to make it my own. I'm only 17 so I probably be won't be looking for a 1.3 litre because insurance companies hate kids it seems (quite rightly!) To start off my only real desire is a nice, nippy runner which I can put some bucket seats in (not the racing ones) and hopefully get some form of audio system in there whilst keeping the insurance as low as possible! Apologies if there is anything wrong with what I've just said, feel free to correct me or steer me in the right direction! After all this is my very first post, go easy on me
Phil.

Mods, NO but it is a rt hand drive!
I am currently researching options for improving my motor. Do I keep the SPI or swap to Carb?

A 1986 Chelsea Edition with a few mods..........
1275 cooper block with SPi running gear
A very large K&N airfliter
Vernier timing gear
Manniflow mannifold
RC40 Exhaust
12" Revolutions with Yok tyres
Rersprayed in Porche Gaurds Red with a graphite coloured roof and cooper like stripes with fade in towards the centre
Seats, seat belts and door cards form a Sidewalk Edition
Fully adjustable Spax shocks.
Planned mods
Deluxe carpet set (black) got but not fitted yet)
From my previous car a fourtwo Smart an A.R.T Racing can which i'm thinking of putting in place of the RC40 can, as its a motorbike racing can its got no bafles in it so will be seriously loud but nice - on the Smart it sounded amazing.
In two minds over the Sidewalk interior, it looks a little out of place but gives it character. My girlfriend hated it at first but its grown on her.
Bump stops to prevent reat tyres rubbing in arches which got 2 or more people in it lol.
Its a real hoot to drive and is nice and nippy. Sounds sweet, purs lovely at 50mph, a little noisy at 60 - a little buit of a drone, but once up to 70 it quietens down a little. Handles like dream with a nice ride, was expecting it to be a bit harder.
