What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?

hi my name is stuart first time on mini forum. i drive a mini mayfair auto 1987 had it just over a year now it is standard at the moment but my plan is to take the engine out over christmas give it a good clean and a lick of paint and try and fit a new cam ( i think it a fast road cam i need) to give it a bit more power i havent a clue what i am doing but i will give it a go hope to get some help and advise for this forum all though there is a mini garage where i live

already did a brief intro in the intro section, but here's the details:

1975 austin 1000 with the following mods:
1430 MED hi-torque engine with 286 cams and twin SU carbs
straight cut 4 speed box with split pin diff
KAD short shifter
KAD four pot front brakes
12" mini lites with advan AO48 rubber
KAD on dash brake bias control
removable steering wheel
on dash air/fuel ratio readout
spax suspension
additional radiator fan
additional oil cooler and fan
sparco bucket drivers seat
stripped out interior, no stereo, no carpets, no sound proofing, on heater blower, no aircon etc

mods to do:
roll cage
electrical shut off switch

Heres my mini 30 pretty much standard, fully rebuilt by original owner, ive put my own little touches to it like chrome arches, clear indicator lenses and 12" anthracite JBW minilights:)

hey ive got a mini mayfair 86 model auto my first mini it a horrible yellow but been told it meant to be that coulour,its got 12inch revolution wheels and a custom dash want to do a lot more but on a budget because only a young driver
i want to change it to a manual some people sau u cant sit a manual box to a auto engine and would i have to change the subframe etc
and would it just be easyier to get a manual engine and box and swap it over.

we drive a 1996 sprite. we have put an MPI dash in him but we smoothed it and painted it body colour,
we changed the air vents for part alfa and part mitsibushi ones, put rover 100 door pockets in.
we are busy builing a trailer from a mini rear end.

Hi everyone.

I have just bought a 76 998cc leyland mini which requires quite alot of weilding and is my 1st project.

Am very excited about getting stuck in, all i need to do now is learn how to weild

Got stage one kit fitted
12x5.5 superlights
Ignition Switch/push start/cut off switch
Two Cobra buckets with three point sparco harness', no back seats
Black Carpet with no Sound proofing
4 spot lights
clear indicators at the front and sides

Things i have planned ....

Rear cage/ full cage
12"-10" brake and wheel conversion
10x6/7 wheels with miglia arches
nice big A+ engine... 1410, 1380, 1275 - (heavily modified)
