Got a 1275GT due to go in anytime now, then next year a B16A2, yeah VTEC Conversion!

I DRIVE A 1973 AUSTIN MINI 1000 IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE RUST BUCKET WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND CONSEQUENTLY IM STILL IN THE PROCESS OF RESTORING IT EVENTUALLY I WILL FINISH IT....IVE GOT LOADS OF IDEAS FOR DIFFERENT MODS ETC.

if you ever want to get rid of the dash, id be interested!

i drive a 96 mayfair 1275 auto, group 5 euro arches and 6*12 deep dish superlights

have a 998 city that needs the ran and cooling put together and a respray, no rust anywhere on it

a shell that i got for nothing with a good front subby, not terrible back1 and 2 repairable doors, good boot lid too

and soon to add to the collection is a 93 white spi cooper, bit of damage and it'l prob go back to origonal(ish!!)

I'm Martyn and live in Sheffield with my good wife. I've just got back into Mini ownership after ten years. I 've just go a new job in Buxton and wanted a fun vehicle to negotiate those wonderful Peak District B roads.

I've just bought a bare metal restored F reg 998, which had been 'Coopered' by the previous owner. It has:
1275cc MG Metro engine (stage 1 or 2 tuned)
LCB manifold and two box exhaust (not loud, but a nice note!)
Twin fuel tanks with Aston style fillers
12" GB alloys
HiLo suspension
Interior from an early 90s Cooper
Full dash
Red paintwork with silver roof and bonnet stripes (yuk, I don't like the silver at all!)

I'm intending to make aesthetic changes quite quickly.

new seals in windshield, rear window, quarter windows, bonnet and boot
new ingnition coil
new disctributor cap and rotor
new water pump
new twin horn
new cone rubber springs
new shock absorber (kayaba oil)
new light all with white plastics and coloured bulbs
and much more....


near my mini there isa my Renault Clio 1.2 75BHP "Le Iene" all black...outside and inside!!

What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
Also what are your plans !

I have just bought a 1979 mini with a tuned 1275 engine and a huge weber carb, bit of nostalga really had a clubman as a first car! The mini is a coplete shell (only on back wheels) so joined in case i needed any help along the way!!! Cant wait to get started!!!

i drive a 1990 austin city. Its red and has been changed to convertable by keiths conversion at some point in its life. I hope to one day add a new Honda Type R engine to give it some kick to go with the looks Im Only 16 so cant wait to get my hands on the wheel.
