1975 NZ assembled Mk3 Morris Mini 1000 with a 1275 head, extractors and twin HS2's. Otherwise Leaky (so named because when I got it, it leaked oil, water, air, exhaust, coolant, petrol...) is stock and in need of a makeover. Plans are to go for a fairly classic rally look, but keep it subtle.

I currently own a 1982 mini city (the most fun ive had on 4 wheels) , Im curretly looking to add some new decals on the roof ive seen some nice sites offering this but they seem to only have the new mini on their sites? can anyone suggest a company to use, ive look at www.mini-graphics.co.uk and www.minipirate.com but will they fit the "Proper" mini?

Just in the process of bringing my 1985 Mini City back to life (been in the garage for years). Got a 12G295 head to put on it when I find the time so should be exciting!

I hope his is where I type my post. For a complete newbie I would have liked some step by step instructions about how to make a post.

However.... I have a 1962 Austin Mini which has not been driven for 15 years. I have it stored in my garage. It was an 850cc but I replaced the motor with a 1000cc recon. one.
I want to try to get an original 850 motor to restore it to original. I gave it a repaint in it's original blue colour.. looks good. Has the original carpets etc ... floor pan on driver's side has rusted through in places.

Any advice or suggestions most welcome.

Oh... I live in Auckland, New Zealand so I'm just getting up as you go to bed!!

Cheers

hey, i have a 97 sportpack in a burned orange colour. full leather interior and wood dash .. its been sitting for a few years and is now indoors and ive started fixing the rust and all that .

plans are: flush out the back plate and bumpers, put a mk 1 grille on it plans to french the front lights in or something nice like that .. open to ideas there,

questions: what can i do to squeeze a bit of power out of the engine .. i took the restrictor off the throttle, k&n filter and thats basically it.

the ecu chip throws me off not sure what you can do with it.

i also need a new exhaust system and am wondering what the best optoins are.

can i run sportpack wheels 13x6 with wood and pickett arches and will wood and pickett arches fit on the steel

any tips would be much appreciated.
