78 mini 1000 le, so badged in NZ. .What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
Also what are your plans !
yellow, still my drive car, but stacking up the bits and pieces in my garage to install once I am able to strip and bring the body back to its former glory.
I have a 1330 with all the bits and pieces, a worked head and twin 1.5 su's . The block was prepared by a kiwi mini icon, murry locke, hepolite pistons. The diff is a 3.26:1 for decent motorway driving. Now all I need is to put it in the car, but I want to do a decent job on the body first.
I would also like to keep the 10" wheels, so I will be getting 7.5"calipers (not inexpensive I have realised). I would also like to get a set of wide cooper rims, but they are as scarce as chickens teath.
Any suggestions are welcome as I am new to the mini scene, and intend growing old with mine.

I Think its a mini Morris. 1973. but it has a 1275 put in it. came with both original engine and wheels separate. I don't know the mileage, the odometer is stuck. (first thing i want to fix) . I don't know much about cars, Looking to fix this one and have it be a reliable fun car.
Pardon me while i go read through old conversations about little cars.

But due to unfortunate events involving a roundabout, a lady pulling out infront of me in ford focus and then having to swearve out the way in heavy rain, end result in me re arrange the look of a brand new vauxall corsa and my lovely mini crying in pain ! it was like a lead weight in my stomach and someone squeezing my heart when i saw my poor mini dropped of at my house, it still ran after the accident when i had to reverse it out from the corsa and up my drive.
To bring it to an end, i had all the damage checked and price, it had to be jig which cost around £300 and then £1000 for the body parts and re spray and labour. i opted just for the jig, but i was young not earning enough to pay for this, i actually felt i let the car down in a way which is sad i know but i had to sell it, i sold it to a perfessional who will look after it, it was valued £125 but the guy gave me £500 for it!
Now i own the most horrid car due to insurance costs being so high, a Suzuki Alto reg 2006. i am on the internet or looking in magazine constantly searching for minis i could buy. I was interested in one valued at £1.559 which was supercharged but ill have to wait it out.

she got a built stage 3 1293 cc engine put in with a hif-44 carb took 2 years to get it running due to all the changes i had to do etc.
got aluminium radiator the best one due to the heat in the summer.
i love this car the dtm exhaust system makes it fly through the country side. i think i will always stick to classic because you actually take care of it more than the modern cars these days which people take for granted
