We have 2 Minis in our family; my wife has a 998cc 1989 racing flame, that we restored a couple of years ago; new wings and A panels, scuttle panel, sills and door skins. It was then given a repaint in a custom pearlescent pink, and has lovely 'pink panther' decals. Once the decals were applied, the whole car was given a final couple of coats of Sikkens clearcoat to seal them in position.
It's just been treated to a new rear subframe, and a set of rear hi-los. We have the front hi-los, but they're still on the shelf. Had a new engine fitted a couple of months ago, and has just flown through it's MOT. All the work to the car has been done by myself and my wife.
I have a white 1994 Rover Mini Sprite, 1275cc, that I bought from a mate 6 months ago. It only has 2 previous owners, and a genuine recorded mileage of 39k. It was in a pretty bad way, and had to be fitted with new inner and out sills, rear heelboard repair panels and a new (well good 2nd hand) rear subframe. The previous owners never thrashed the car, consequently it had to have a de-coke and the head re-skimming, but now is back on the road and runs and feels like a new car. It does need a re-spray, and this I will do myself next year.

I have recently become the very proud driver of a 1988 Atlantic Blue City E, his name is Arthur.
He's pretty much rust free!!!! so waxoyled lovingly in desperate attempt to keep him that way (lessons learnt from my beautiful but-in-need-of-new-sills 1983 mini that I have recently sold)
Plans: leave him alone, (he's pretty much original apart from a centre console so would like to keep him that way), drive him and have lots of fun, smile lots and wave like a loony at other mini drivers!

I am restoring a 1990 studio 2, 4 years and counting, sooo much rust. The shell is now done and ready for paint. lots of mods on this one, engine is a rebuilt MG 1275, I am told it will be good for 80-85 bhp!!. lots of good stuff inside, new everything, way to much to list, have done all the work myself including welding, engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, total nut and bolt restore. I must have been mad to start this, but it kind of just grew and grew!! Anyway looking back im glad i did, although the bank manager isnt so happy. err or the missus. >What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
