Hi, new to owning a mini cant drive yet as im only 15 but i thought id just tell you my project i bought.
i got a 1985 austin mini city e 998cc which i bought of a guy in leeds who kindly sold and delivered my mini for £450,
so far i just had it started only yesterday - needed a new fuel pipe and battery, she roars like mad with the standard exaust, hopefully ill be going for a cooper look, and on my wish list so far ill be getting :
[list]
[*]black paint with white stripes on bonnet
[*]black and white checkerd roof
[*]mini light alloys
[*]cream bucket seats
[*]aluminium dash
[*]cooper steering - cause the standard is like a bus steering wheel
[*]new carpets
[*]new door cards
[*]new front panel
[*]new a panels
[*]new boot floor
[*]new front drivers floor panel
[*]new inner arches

all the panels i need now as the ones on there are rotten and rusted so hopefully will have it road worthy in a few months :D

Hi it started life as a paul smith but sadly it went rusty(nothing new there) so it got repaired and sprayed silver with a black roof not the cleverest thing to do! and ultralite spits fitted but it looks good and oh yes the green dash has gone as well i am going to purchase a pick-up whatever it takes

Got five mini`s none ov which are roadworthy :D
1st mini was a green standard 1978 T reg 998 bought for £100 quid back in 1995 its now tahiti blue with white roof and union jack, standard steel 10`s rc40 freeflowmaniflod, basic stage one, standard suspension, it did sport a 1340cc until my sister ran it dry ov oil, its now suffering from terminal rot again so its laid up in my lock up along with a h reg racing flame which is standard and untouched, however the wife wants to turn it into a paul smith lookalikey im unsure because it is after all a special edition, complete and not in bad condition really.
Shoved inbetween these two is a studio 2 which is slowly getting butchered for parts, its now cut in half and stripped. The back is going to become a mini trailer and the front is going to be used to help restore my 1999 sportspack.
Out ov all my minis the sportspack is the worst, bought brand new out of the show room with 110mile on, anthracite grey with oew roof with black checks, all the usually sportspack goodies, I added electric windows, central locking, twin upswept rc40 and freeflow manifold, k&n filter, rear camber brackets, adjustable tierods, negative degree bottom arms, hi -los and upgraded the stereo. Its now sitting under my car port half stripped, so far it needs, wings, front end, full windscreen surround and scuttle, both door skins, both door hinge posts, a panels, inner & outer cills, front floor sections, rear lower quarter panels, rear valance, boot hinge panel, rear inner arch repairs and a new bonnet, who thinks it sould be saved or scrapped?
And lastly ive got the beast, its a m reg sprite with a allspeed engineering frame holding onto a b18c6 honda integra type r lump, ive got most parts to finnish this now just need rad and possible exhaust manifold. Its running on 13 superlights with supermini fins and minisport four pot calipers, hi-los g-max dampers, standard cones, poly bushed powder coated rear subframe with camber brackets, slash cut jap style exhaust, type r seats and new integra speedo cluster, flip up carbon fibre front end, carbon bonnet and miglia arches. Its gonna be a bit ov a sleeper, candy apple red with sapphire grey roof, mildly tinted windows, and just a few type r badges dotted around, me thinks a nice red interior carpet and a high gloss black dash moulded around my cluster will sort the interior out a treat. While im on the family charriot is a bini one just standard pepper pack silver and a change of stereo but cant class this as my car as the wifes owns this one.
Anyways nice to finaly register on here, oh forgot, my name is Greg, thanks for reading

at the moment its basicly as it was from the factory except older,
i intend to keep it looking the same except for sportpack arches and remove the wimbledon graphics from the bodyand i am also changing all bumpers and grills ect to stainless steel ones, the inside is going to be completely redone and im mid doing engine bay at the moment, having problems working out how to fit the pancake filter i bought for it.

A '94 Mayfair SPI. I bought it 2 weks ago, and i'm just getting getting it back up to a decent road going standard. Mainly bodywork.

I reckon i may keep this standard as the Missus likes it very much..............but i'm already on the look out for a clubby, and it ain't gonna be standard.......no sir, it ain't >_<
