Needs tidying on the body in terms of corrosion in various places (obviously ....its a mini)
but has a very original theme to it:
original interior, seats, carpets, int trim
outside has corrosion as i said but also has original wheels (including those flimsy plastic BL hub covers)
also had lucas spots fitted from new. Its kept its original stripes and colour (although the stripe is a bit faded on one side)
best of all have full service history and it was bought in windermere in the lake district in 1982 in a part exchange for another clubby estate (it was an older auto) and since then its only had on owner not including me and i live just 4 miles away from windermere.... it hasnt wandered too far.
anyway ....lots to be done!!

Unfortunately its been off the road for the last year and a half. However, due to a motoring mishap and subsequent insurance pay out, I figured it was about time to get it back on the road.
Although I am enthusiastic when it comes to working on the mini myself, lack of knowledge, location and good equipment and the recent cash injection means its getting the full professional treatment next week.
Top of the list will be new passenger side floor pan and driver side inner and outer sills.
Also throwing a stage one kit at it and various other little bits and bobs.
I was also thinking about moving up from the standard 12s to 7x13 wheels and would lover some feedback from people who have made this mod. Obviously this is going to affect the feel of the car quite considerably (hopefully positively) but some feedback would be good?
Cheers
Rich

shes called mary and shes a bit funny sometimes but when she breaks down she always 100% of the time does it on the drive so i never get stranded
however she threw a fit the other day and flung one of her window wipers off whilst i was on a dual carriageway in the pooring rain!!!

I have a gorgeous 'shorty'.
It started life as a boring grey studio 2, 1990. Its had a very recent respray with new fibreglass arches and chrome trimmings. Its still in the early days of being refurbished. The interior will be next.
