Technically I don't really drive it 'cause I haven't got my license yet but I've got a 1988/89 (not sure which year without looking) Mini Designer.

Hi all

My name is James. Live in Bagshot, Surrey. Been into mini's for about 17 years and really enjoy fixing stuff and trying out new parts and ideas. The car (tojer) is a 1991 Cooper in brg.

Loads of stuff changed. In fact most stuff modified in some shape or form. It's almost finished. Although on second thoughts. Will eventualy get round to spraying the flip front once I can decide what wheels and arches to use. It's a big boys toy that lives in the stealth garage (painted matt black) and its comes out on dry days because I cannot be arsed to keep drying it. It always gets a good spanking when it does come out. Its part street racer with a stoking engine set up. All the suspentions done as are the brakes with lots of goodies like ally 4 pots on vented discs and coil springs.

Inside its more luxury the race car with retrimed recliners and a whopping great Alpin and JL audio set up finished with 2 12" subs on the back seat. Its been good fun and I have made some really good friends through being into mini's

It's not just a car - its a way of life!

James

After many, many, many cars I have settled with a 1993 Mini Mayfair. She's currently a shell as I source and destroy leaks! Funny fact #234 if your car leaks and a good amount of water collects under the carpets the water can make you ill!!! Hurrah!!!

Hi im new to this whole thing and i have always wanted a mini since i was about 8 when my nan got a mini tahiti ( i think it's spelt right) it was the 1.3 automatic and it was the sex but she sold it when i was 14. For my 18th i got my '88 mini city with the 988 engine. I just recently put a new performance exhaust and inlet manifold on her and she sound great. I got the 13x7 superlites and group 6 wheel arches to put on her. was wondering if anyone had any pictures of group 6 arches on a mini. I have big plans for the old girl

Howdy TMF!

Have since i was 14 a 83 patchworked mayfair with diy mdf dash and 10in steering wheel - can't quite see the clocks but sillier fun to drive! My first wheels and plan on keeping them for a long long time. Fully stripped down (bar headlinging), derusted, new front end and wing and put back together in just six years (! ;P ) of summer hols of knuckle scrapping, spanner head smacking diy. Absolutely no regrets either..

Stuck in garage at the mo (mo's can be very long...) with slipping clutch and leaking head gasket, plan a full rust defender resto sometime, want to swap the 998 swisher with a G13B swifter :D but f*$@%! dismal mussels n chips bureaucracy is putting a log in the wheels on that grrr :xxx: load of C**p... :xxx: :xxx: even frankfurter land u lets u do personal homologations...

This is my ongoing project, first mini (at the age of 45) and a daily driver.

1275 Metro engine, with modest improvements.

Nothing too exciting yet.

hi.

I'm new. well relatively. I've owned my Mini for over 11 years, was my second car, and still to this day i can't / won't get rid of her...

She's a 1975 morris 850.. Running a 1380 cc A+ with lots of bells and whistles, to be honest the engine was built so very long ago I can't remember what my hard earned cash actually bought me. One thing i know is it's quick... Think she runs a little over 100 BHP at the wheels, and the original 1000 cc gearbox got ripped apart after 380 miles, so now has a 2001 Cooper S 500 gearbox which is geared incredibly well for top end speed.

She has got a 3 & 1/2 inch roof chop, de-seamed, de-bumpered and resprayed in renault sport pearl yellow.

Please let me know what you think... It is very sad, but currently she is sat round the side of my house rotting away... I do have plans to build a garage and strip her back down but time (2 little girls and a business) is against me.

Many thanks

Matt

What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
Also what are your plans :D !

Hi, I drive a 1984 mini 25 special edition, the only thing ever done to her was a new dashboard which was put in, in 1985 so i wouldn't really call it new!
I haven't got any plans to do anything with her cause she is perfect, absolutely no rust anywhere treated underneath and drives like a dream.
I would just like to say thanks to whoever put the flyer on my car since getting my car (ayear ago) i have wanted to join something like this, thanks. I'm going to put on a piccy so tell me what you think
