[orange 1275gt nut]

hiya all just got a 1275 gt poor old girl needs a bit of tlc bit rough round the edges lol has a metro 1275 lump wiv a stage 1 kit nuffing major under the bonnet YET!!!!!lol hav a steel flip front on her and a set of 12" 5 spoke revos and lastly behind those lovly revos are vented discs and 4 pot calipers havent got any pics yet but shud hav sum soon

hi guys,
i'm a newbie and this is my ride. my love with mini started 11 years back when i got myself an old '76 850 mini austin. love it so much but the engine was too tired and i can't add an aircond due to the low power. i then upgraded it to 1000cc and the eagerness didn't stop there. finally i got a-1275 and it's with me until now. it's my second car. yes, second car. i use it everyday for work. it never failed me. unlike the 850 and 1000 which got me a few red punch cards when it refused to serve. my wife also prefer to use it to work rather than our family van. so, when she really wanted to use it, i have to let go.

i bought my mini city1000 last october/november via ebay. had 3 months mot but was a non runner. replaced battery and ignition parts and away she went! drove it around until the mot ran out in february whilst deciding what to do with it.

it passed mot last week and i have now started to tidy the old girl up a bit. ive poly bushed the frontend, renewed brakes, replaced scuttle pannel, both A pannels, both doors and bonnet. now preparing for a respray. desparatly seeking a set of 7x13 superlites so i can do arches before painting shell.

performance wise i intend to keep the 1000 for now untill i find a metro somewhere! got a cooper head to fit and going to get a stage one kit.

hopefully she will be all done ready for the riviera run at newquay, i live about 7 miles away at fraddon so havent got to travel far!
