Hi mate, glad to see your amazing pickup. How do you manage to fit into a chop without having the seat pushed back?

Hi everyone

I have a Mini 30. Had him for about 1 and a half years, got about 46000 on the clock. The exterior looks rather standard apart from the overriders, debadged bonnet, twin spots and 10" black exactons. Interior has Cobra Monaco S seats, 3+3 clock walnut dash, vibe speakers, alpine headunit. Engine is more a less standard, with a full S/S exhaust system, a different inlet manifold and LCB exhaust manifolds, and Cooper S brakes (for converting from 12s to 10s)

Problems/Accidents(not a section i should have lol):

- Went into the front of another car in the snow....brakes/steering locked up - lost the grill/bonnet/starter motor/distributor cap
- Someone driving into the back of me - no damage, just a couple of scuffs
- Most recently the piston shattering ripping up the inside of the engine so now i need a new engine....and i cant find one

Love the car such a good car to drive!!!

Dude you have the craziest interior looks amazing!! Nice one

This is my mini. Tis a 1989 rover mini city cooper replica. It has a walnut dash, mountney steering wheel, all chrome handles interior and exterior, Cd player, chrome bumpers, etc etc
I have a new bonnet as the current one is a bit rusy as seen in the pic, and the few spots of rust will be cleared, treated and filled.etc etc

Future---

I am getting it sprayed in tahiti blue soon with a white roof. White bonnet stripes and pinstripes. K&N air filter. 3" centre exit exhaust, manifold. Grill spots and fogs. 8inch sub for the parcel shelf.

Hello People,

I have just bought myself a Mini Cooper S some 30 years after the last one I had (my god has it been that long?)

New one >>

Old ones >>

1974 - MK3 1293 Clubman GT & 1964 MK2 970 Cooper "S"

and this one>>>>>>>>>>>> too much to say but ex special saloon car (had 1840 BDA unit mated to a mini box when I got it, spaceframe rear end etc. etc. ended up as road rally car with 1275 "S" engine SCCR box, 12" Revos etc. etc.

Still looking around it to get re-aquainted with it's bits.

I do have one question if anyone can help?

It has a 5 Speed Gearbox with TRAN-X cast into the casing, does anyone know who these people are an whether they're still on the go?

Regards

Nick

Thanks for the response, its a shame to think they've probably been scrapped and reincarnated as Hyundais or Protons by now????

I have since found out a bit more out about the 5 speed box, TRAN-X no longer manufacture the unit or spares but MiniSpares may have taken up the design/manufacture and spares? Hopefully its just a syncro problem and uses standard baulk rings?

Nick
