I drive a austin min 1000 and have had no end of problems but what the plan is to get another car for the winter and redo the whole min i hav a dilemma i have been offered a honda civic esi engine for free and am wondering how hard to convert , but also would like to know about my ignition not working in the slightest rain is it the ignitor going because ive replaced the coil ? from keiryn tb

hi , i have a 'mongrel', 1964 B registered mini with part mayfair shell and 998 auto engine, fully stripped at the moment with just the engine now in situ and lots of pretty bits added. I have a flip grp front going on any day now, the welder is taking the car next week for a bit of tlc then its off to STYLE BODYWORX for new paint. Keeping the car pretty retro with a splash of 'now'.
Bought masses of brightwork for the car last weekend cost over 600 quid at P&L minis and i still have another list! lol
interior sorted with EMALEE, shes a star, cannot finish project without her, Car will be FORD RIVERA BLUE and (emalees seat covers are a dead match) white checked roof and bonnet sides with blue/white interior.

All i need at the moment is maybe a 998 sump, as there is a small fracture in mine, 2 good doors, a scuttle panel, 2 front indicator chrome bezels both rear indicator chrome, adonised dashpot and adonised coil cover and bracket, or full light units, and any other bits and bobs members may suggest i might need.

Hi im new here. Im driving a recent purchase a 'mongrel' 998 auto with mayfair bodyshell sat on a few 1964 bits and bobs and registered on 1964 plates. Paid a measly 360 squid, engine was knackered so good old ebay came up with another mayfair auto with 44,000 on the clock.
MONGREL is fully stripped down to shell at moment with engine in situ, nice and shiny all painted up, chrome rocker and so on, strip down revealed extensive rot on the rear inner o/s quarter due to knackered rear quarterlight seal and tube of gutter sealant and o/s flitch, front end and scuttle could not be saved. met a nice welder who is sorting all this next weekend for next to nothing. Bought a full grp flip front, ready now in primer - ebay, minilight wheels- ebay, lol
car resprayed in 3 weeks all being well, going to be ford rivera blue to match seat covers made soon by EMALEE. trying to go for subtle retro look.
There is still a list of elusive parts i need so ill post to wanted asap. Im taking pics all the way as ive heard you like them on here,

Hi there, i am a newbie.

My name is Ami, and i drive a 1992 Rover Open Classic, British Racing Green and she is called Bogie.
i love her.

i brought her 2 weeks ago, and i have spent more time in her then at work or at home, i am addicted.

she was leaking oil, but i fixed that with a new dip stick.
and she is running a bit rich, she keeps flooding and cutting out, but that is getting sorted out on tuesday.
she made it all the way to her new home from manchester with out any trouble and she is goin to newquay with me in 3 weeks for a surfing holiday.

i would love to recieve tips on care and generally chat to other mini owners.

Seeing as how i'm new, I thought i'd introduce myself with newly bought baby. I'm rather chuffed with it being my first car & i can't wait to pass my test now.

She needs a bit of work as you'll see from the pics with the slight rust under the headlighs, Nothing to major i've been assured by the father & the slight dent in the Grille, However that got there.

Then i've just gotta tart it up

I've got a 1972 Mini Clubman, re-sprayed in blue, 13" Superlights, Twin exit exhaust, cobra buckets, had quite abit of work done, but is currently in the garage as i've got a 1293 engine to go in it! Tried uploading some pic's as that would of been the best way to see what people think of it, but not having much luck for some reason....

i drive a flame mini G reg ...soon to be either black or blue or even both ... with a 1380 (maybe turbo) engine

full zeemax bodykit and star mag alloys with custome built interior,

it's cost an arm and a leg or 2 but it will be worth it... can't wait till it's done ... i will psot some pics up soon.

I am new to this site, and I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a mini 1000 who has died. I need to get a new engine with gear box to get her back up and running. Has anyone, or does anyone know someone who is selling a 998 engine??

i drive a mini monte carlo wheel arches, spots lookin good. just passed her mot and i am now going to try and fit overriders and side bars if anyone has advice on how and what mistakes to avoid i'd be grateful for advice i'm female after all , dont hold it against me. would like to do the brighton run maybe its all mun an fun in the mini game cheers all
