Mini Limo! All 14 feet of it.
Met my now wife through out local mini club, got married and built the car with Surf Blue Garage so we could get married in it, well get to the wedding in it.

Mods... extra 6 feet, 2 more doors, 2nd sunroof.... etc.

Grooved disks, stage 1 kit, about 3 meters of SS 2" bore exhaust, twin side to side exit exhaust. central locking and electric windows on rear doors. Couple of CD players etc.

Plan to redo the interior, extend the rear seat and cover it in leather. redo the dash and various other bits...

Hey I'm Tom, about to turn 18 and been bombing round in my '83 Mayfair since October! Also got a 1980 Mini 1000 Cooper look-alike that I did up with my dad over about 6 years - was meant to be for me but we went a bit o.t.t. and insurance was a bit of a bugger... it was actually cheaper just to buy the mayfair and insure me on it for a year than to be on the other one!

Just been to my 6th form May ball last week - we thought we'd be a bit different to the usual limo-crews so got together 5 minis and did the Italian Job all the way (annoyed a few people in the massive queue behind us but we didn't care, it looked awesome : p) My 2 are the blue one in the middle and the green one on the far right :-

Thanks Begy
And it only took 3 months!
pics should be here somewhere. The rear seat base is being extended and recoverd. The centre petition needs motorising and I have some new smiths clocks for the dash, which will require a new dash...
Then its LCD and DVD etc.

Cheers
Chris

Problems/Accidents(not a section i should have lol):

- Went into the front of another car in the snow....brakes/steering locked up - lost the grill/bonnet/starter motor/distributor cap
- Someone driving into the back of me - no damage, just a couple of scuffs
- Most recently the piston shattering ripping up the inside of the engine so now i need a new engine....and i cant find one :withstupid:

Love the car such a good car to drive!!!

I bought a "1977 Mini Cooper" from a guy in Ontario Canada and brought it back to Utah. I have since rebuilt both the front Hubs and suspension stuff and put Hi los and coils on her. she also has 7'' 13's now and I am getting ready to rebuild the engine. But I am not entirely sure of exactly what model Mini i have. It has the large disc brakes on the front and drums on the back. But I am totally new to the whole Mini thing and there aren't a whole lot of people to talk to about them here in the middle of the desert. I would assume that it would have a 1275cc engine since it has S brakes but am not positive since the guy I bought it from was french Canadian and the car wasn't in very good shape when I bought it, I would like to bore it out to 1380cc, how do I go about finding out if this is possible on the engine I have and what would be necessary to accomplish this?

Your information and Guidance would be very appreciated!
Caleb

Heya, this is my Mini Mia. 1986 Mayfair, with a stage one, minus the needle so she chugs without the right mixture. Dressed up as a cooper sportspack, with massive spacers on that are screwing up my bearings. Hopefully that'll all be changed when I come into some more money. Just fitted a pug 306dturbo battery, replaced the head gasket and bought some new sparkys. When the head came off, we noticed cylinder 1 bore is pretty scarred up, and have a fairly strong feeling the piston ring is gone URGH!

Anyway, I love her, she's a great little car and with the spacers but small wheels, hugs those corners better than ever! As soon as i've got a new needle profiled and her rr'd it'll all be smiles ;D.

Here's some pics...

And this is me, desperately looking through the Haynes manual for torque wrench settings for the head nuts.
