I'd love to post a photo, but I'm on dial up using what is basically a glorified calculator for a computer (anybody remember the heady days of the pentium 2?) :'(
I've got a '91 red/white cooper. Carb not SPi. It's just gone into winter storage although I'm planning a total rebuild. In terms of rust he's in pretty good nick so I kind of figure that I'll do all the work now rather than leave it for a couple of years and let him get worse. No real body mods apart from Mk1 grill and tail lights etc. Going for the retro look.
In terms of the engine: twin carbs, cam, get the crank ground and balanced etc. RC40 exhaust maybe.
Cheers

What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
Also what are your plans !
Hi all my name is Ryan,
I have currently got a mini Mayfair (copper look alike) its not driveable at the moment due to the amount of rust present on it but I’m currently getting a friend to help me weld wings, a boot pan and platting up the chassey and replacing the drivers A pillar, managed to have the head of the engine gas flowed , re paint and replace the gaskets, crankshaft seals timing and clutch end of the engine, and have recently bought twin 1.5” SU carburettors, a 3 2 1 manifold and a stainless steel DTM and link piping, for the performance
Some pics of rusty are below enclosed.

I "drive" a 1984 Mini 25 Limited Edition with factory fitted Webasto roof only one of 10 made with such a roof!!
Drove it for 2 weeks when I first bought it...back in August! Then I took it off the road for the time being so that I can give it the attention it deserves! (I say "I", what I mean is...I shall look at it and admire it and Dog is gonna do the work But I shall help out where I can!)
It's a standard 998 as far as i know. it has recently had new points, dissy cap, air filter, water pump, thermostat, solenoid valve, spark plugs and new exhaust.
It's also had new rear subframe and RHS sill and the interior is original mini 25!
