Hi, my g/f owns the mini which is a 1983 sprite in primula yellow.

It used to be a 1000cc but is now running a 1275 MG Metro engine with HIF44 carba nd full stage one kit with RC40 exhaust system. Wheels are off a later cooper as we fitted front disc brakes.

I drive a mini cooper 1.3i, I havnt done many modifications on it yet although it did come with a stage 1 kit already fitted and twin exhaust system. What I have done is put some clear lights on the back, 2 front spots and added some interior chrome handles.
After I've finished fixing her I will be getting some new wheels, new arches, fit my new dash, clear lights all round, angel eye headlights and spots, put in a boot build, and add lots of chrome

Got me self my third mini 25 that has had a lot of money put into it judging by the reciepts, about 30,000 on the clock but they only go up to 99,999 before goin round again so anyones guess. It looks a bit rough around the edges. Bought it on ebay where you can find a lot of overpriced deathtraps posted by ripoff merchants, having said that i paid over the odds for mine, sorry just love 25's. Anyway i got it home parked it up and was going to strip down and do up, then finances went belly up, sold my 1980 mint V reg cycled back and forth to work and when i could afford it put the 25 in for a mot.............................. it passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was blown away.
Gonna do it up slowly as I am now poor and have to find the cash on the sly from the woman.
Check the floors and then sills, check every thing else out and see if i can do it up or need a different shell. All that nimbus grey cack's comin off and its all being replaced by chrome, then if i can finally make my mind up I will MK 1/2 it with period mods.
Yeah yeah I know it wont be origional 25 livery but it should have looked silvery not grey it was a silver anniversary job wasn't it !
In my head it looks gorgeous and subtle but in reality at the mo it looks stolen and recovered.
ANY OTHER 25 OWNERS OUT THERE ???????

Hi there,
new to this forum, picked up details at Bingley Hall today! liked the look of the trip to Nurburgring - if only i could...i will start campaigning today!

most of the time i drive a 1340 black/gold/rainbow called Fidget (originally a Designer, but you can't tell). We've been through quite a bit, best was last summer's trip to Monte Carlo - best thing i've ever, ever done, Alpes and all! so would love some more long trips.

when he's off the road (at present waiting for work and an MOT) i take out Daisy, a Mini 40; much more sophisticated, but dare i say, not quite the same fun!!!!

JUST LOVE DRIVING A MINI :(

Hi,

I've just joined the Mini community with my first mini monster.
She's a 1977 mini clubman. I believe the engine has been upgraded but don't really know how to confirm that yet. I guess I have a long way to go, both with retoration and figuring out how everything work...spent a whole day today surfing trying to work out the flasher relays...hence why I've joined here

Woohoo!
