Hey guys,
After having Mini for two years now, and having account on some local Mini clubs (Poland & Czech), I have dediced to create one here as well (not only because of the TMF+ discount on Minispares ). And although being also on Facebook FAN pages (including the UK one), I still preffer the forum format :) (was tracking like that all my cars' history).
Anyway, I bought this car with 998 A+ after body rebuild (body was from 1991 Cooper - same as papers) done few years back. So far looks ok, although I have some comments on the cracking paint in one or two seams, but hey, price was good so I can't complain :)
So far I did rebuild of front hubs (hubs, CV joints, breaks, Timken bearings,...), some home build dash (although I already have several notes for the version 2.0) and in autumn I swaped 998 to 1275 SPI with HIF44 carb. So far I did only 150km with that engine (because of the weather), so I still need to adjust it a bit :)
Trying to do as much as possible on my own.

I have recently purchased a 1986 kit car called a Jiffy, and I am in the process of retiring it. I am retired so this is a hobby with no timescale. The restoration was already started and some really good work has been carried out. I just need to finish it, in my way.

Hello All,
I've got a 1997 MPI. It's been in our family the last 17 years, and I've spent the winter replacing the scuttle, dash rail, and generally trying to sort her out. I've been out and about enjoying the sun this week!

My wife just bought a 1980 Clubman estate (1100) in good shape (no rust, original paint, brown).
She's going to do map-reading rallies with it.
Current plans:
- Underbody and hollow areas, rust prevention
- Wheel arch liners (?)
- Reduce noise (floor, roof, doors, bulkhead/dash, wheelarches?, etc.)
- Convert to halogen headlights
- Add extra spotlights or Led lightbar
- Upgrade alternator
- Mount larger fusebox with blade fuses (tripping indicators?)
- Mounting plate and 12V supply for tripmaster, electric compass, DCF clock
- Mount flex neck reading light, 12V and USB ports
- Add Voltmeter and oil pressure gauge
- Emergency hammers / seatbelt cutters
- Carter protection (skid plate)
- Electric cooling fan for radiator
- Main battery earth switch
- Improve reliability
- Silicone cooling hoses
- Add reverse lamp(s) and maybe rear fog light
- Add more internal ceiling light(s)
- Convert light bulbs to Led
