Back to Minis after a short break. Now on my 15th, another Mk1 Morris 850 SDL, only this time in the several £0000,s as opposed to my other Mk1’s, purchased in the ‘80’s, which usually cost between £30 and £100 !
I’m in Maidstone, Kent & looking for a good local Mini expert to do jobs such as suspension change etc. I used to use the excellent Shaun & Andy at Sevenoaks Minis, but their numbers go to nothing.
Anyway, good to be back !

Just picked up my first mini in 20 years :) A 1991, 1275cc (Vin plate indicates it is a Cooper). Surprisingly little rust with no holes that I can find. It should make a nice relaxing project for the winter.

Hi all, new to the forum. I'm currently building a 1983 mini for track days.
I brought the car back in 2018 and have been working on it slowly around uni.
The mini has a fully welded and strengthened front sub frame with adjustable lower arms, it also has a quick rack fitted (2.2 turns) and soon to be fitted 7.5" 4 pot callipers(if anyone is selling some let me know).
suspension it has coil overs all round will a rear beam and turrets at the rear.
For the body is has the typical lighter parts, carbon fibre boot lid and fibre glass bonnet, polycarbonate windows
Inside it has a simple interior, 6 point cage (with a few modifications) 2 bucket seats along with the usual race/track day stuff
Engine is a 998 A+ with a 20 tho over bore for flat top pistons, the head is a 1275 gt head (9 stud). I'm not sure on cam and rocker arms yet. The gearbox with be a straight cut box (standard ratio, 3.1 diff)
If anyone is selling an lynx ae r1 subframe, i will be very interested as this was my intended idea with the mini before going with the a series
You can see more of this build and pictures on Instagram @ project_js238
