Morning all,
Just joined the forum so thought I would share what I drive.
93 Spi in BRG. 17k from new.
98 Mpi in Flame red I use regularly.
The Spi needs nothing, although I've just changed the vacuum hoses and now runs sweet again.
The Mpi is going to get hi-lo's, red spot cones and a general suspension rebuild. Better front seats as I'm 6'3 and it's a bit tight!
Possible 10" wheel conversion?
Great to be here on the forum and hearing about everyone's experiences.

Hi guys, new to the forum.

Recently purchased a 1992 Mini Cooper 1.3i named her Grace.

Bought it to keep and cherish. Been wanting one for many years but finally made the decision to get it bought.

Going to be a long slow progress on this as I have no mechanical background just love cars!

Just bought a Mini British Open Classic 1993.

Racing Green
93,000 miles

Had a few mods, bucket seats, flared arches and side skirts, wider wheels.

Unfortunately the shells scrubs the arches so got some work to do. The roof doesn't move so got that to look at and the left wing, door hinge panel needs some work too.

Hello-
I have a 1961 Austin Mini 850 with a built 1300. I bought it from a friend who has owned it for over 40 years.
It currently runs on 10” wheels, but am considering 5.5 x 12’s.

1998 cooper MPI

Mods I've done so far:

- Mk1 style grille

- De-striped

- Group 2 arches

- Round chrome mirrors

- Mini Cooper chrome boot badge

Would like to eventually swap the 5x12s for some deep dish 5.5x12 superlights, and exchange the MPI steering wheel for a nice leather Mountney or Astrali when I have some spare cash...

But for now, the underside needs a wire brush and some paint/underseal...

It also came with a sizeable exhaust (not sure what it is, but it sounds naughty!  :D)

First mini was a 1964 850cc, red with black roof.

My second was a 67 traveller, blue with the wood trim outside.  I replaced the 850 engine with one out of an MG1100, complete with the remote control gearshift.  What a difference!

I have had a variety of cars since then, including a ford escort Mexico, during which time my wife had 3 minis, as well as an MGF.

Last year we decided in our retirement, to get "something sporty".  We eventually decided on a nearly new JCW Mini, black with a red roof.  I can honestly say I have never had so much fun driving!
