Hi I've been missing for a while and have sold my Clubman estate which i was converting into a van. I then scrapped my GTS as it became a rust bucket and literally collapsed on me. I have acquired a 1968 or 69 Mini Countryman ( with Australian doors) which I'm going to restore. I'm currently rewiring it. I'm also hoping to acquire another mini and selling my current ride which is a Mazda 323 which is in a bad condition.

Just bought a 1987 Mini Advantage. Racing tuned engine with wide alloy wheels. Managed to get her to run after a bit of adjusting, and I hope to get the rust sorted and painted soon.

The interior is pretty clean even got the walnut dashboard.
The lady who gave it me said it needs a bit of work doing to It.
The bit of works sounds to me a new clutch or engine mounts or something.
As yesterday I couldn’t get it into first or reverse, any idea the price for it to be done? And also what should I be looking for in parts for this year of mini?
Thank you for all your help in advance.
Dan

1979 Canadian Mini.
Plenty of rust in the bottom couple of inches from salt and sand on the roads in the winter. No vehicle inspections here, so no hasty fixes have been done. Currently in a state of complete disassembly.

I've a '96 Japanese Rover Mini Cooper SPI. So far, mods have been mostly cosmetic (stripes on the hood, bling here and there) but did put in a K&N filter, replaced the water pump, and bled the brakes. Near future work includes sorting out the air conditioning, braided brake lines and new brake pads. Far future work will be in the tranny where second gear is an issue. Patience and double-clutching has kept the grinding to a minimum - sometimes not at all if i get it "just right"

afternoon all, new to the club!
Bought a restored mini cooper, previous owner did a full restoration and re-spray, she looks stunning now, if not a little temperamental, but probably more my lack of experience.
she's a 1998 cooper and a delight!

I have a 1974 RH Drive Morris Mini 1000.
It was imported from GB in 2007, Purchased by me in 2009.
Only mods since I purchased it was a front disk brake conversion.
Name E.T. - after the passenger (which apparently came across the pond with it).
