I have just bought a 1986 Mini Mayfair with a 1275 engine built by JB Racing. Mechanical it seems generally okay but there will be plenty of welding to do in the near future. I am already planning mods, but nothing massive just enough to enhance the handling experience.

I’ve owned many minis over the years, they’re definitely in the blood.
The current situation is I’ve just started to get our 97 Yukon Grey Cooper back on the road, we’ve owned the car since 1999 & it was a daily driver until around 6 years ago when the rear subframe disintegrated! Ever since then the car has been sitting in my Dads garage waiting......., life has got in the way.
That’s all about to change as he’s sold his house & I need to get the car at least rolling & over to my garage so I can hopefully get it back on the road.
The car is in really good shape, with just some repairs to the boot floor needed where the subframe mounts, as I used to be a welder in a past life, I’m hoping it’s like riding a bike, you never forget!
Anyway I’ve got a new subframe and all the parts waiting to go on once I’ve fixed the floor, looking forward to starting the project

Hello, always wanted one and finally bought one! A Mini Cooper Sport 500 in British Racing green metallic. Had it a week and already had a problem with the starter motor. Can anyone recommend a supplier of a new starter motor? I think it's temperamental because it's been stood a while and not used. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hello Mini fans! I recently acquired a 1996 Rover Mini Cooper 1.3 SPi. I began driving (along with my love of cars) back in 1972 in my mum's Mini 1275 Clubman GT.I 've waited a long time to get back behind the wheel of a classic Mini. I'm loving it!

What mini do you drive and are there any mods done to it ?
Also what are your plans !
I have a 1971 Clubman saloon which I bought new in 1971 but it has not been on the road since 1983. I also have a 1980 Clubman pickup which I am trying to get on the road soon
