Just joined! I have a 1962 Morris Mini Traveller (woody) which was in good condition when I bought it, but still treated to a respray anyway. The engine is a 998 Cooper which is becoming a bit tired, so this winter may well see a complete overhaul. Thankfully, a good friend is a mechanic and mini enthusiast! Really enjoy the forum and looking forward to contributing as and when...
Best wishes
Mike

Hi fellow mini fans, Just recently had a jap spec rover mini imported to NZ, 1999 1275 BSCC in pretty good nic. have removed bonnet mounted mirrors and put standard white wing mirrors on installed new fuel filter, had bonnet re-sprayed, installed new stereo, fixed throttle peddle jamming on full with a few welds now its basically parked up while im away earning $$$$ to spend on it at a later date. Really happy thus far with the condition and over all handling but plenty of room for improvement :)
planned mods...
blow through supercharger
intercooler
new door pockets and speakers
2nd fuel tank
central locking
add two more spotties
replace engine ecu
the brakes definitely need an upgrade
thats just the start...

- a 1963 MK1 Austin Countryman surfblue :
came out from a barn few years ago and entirely restaured to its orginal specs with 15.000 Km.
- a 2000 Mini Knightsbridge (french model)
No modification have been made to this car.
63.000 km.
I use these car just for cruisin' I mean they are incredible time machines :
If I want to go back to the time I was a student I drive the Knightsbridge, and If I want to see how life was when my parents were 20, I drive the countryman
Cheers

1972 Mini Cooper with what appear to be a 1990 1275 engine. It's been sitting since 2012, but (most) all the bits are still on the car.
Cleaned the tank, changed the pump, cleaned lines and she's now running. No lighting though and a very odd electrical issue.
??The tank becomes "hot" if I put it in the proper location and blows the pump fuse. Tried isolating the tank but the results are the same?? Still chasing.

Hello all. First post on here, it should have been a lot sooner as I've owned my '91 Cooper since it was three years old - i'm a bad bad boy. The car has been off the road for a few years and I've just stripped the engine down and to my eternal delight I reckon I'll get away with a hone, rings and shells.
Here's what it looked like a few years ago, it's a bit shabby just now after all those years at the back of the garage

I'll post a bit of a history soon
