1981 austin 998 in baby blue. The car needs alot of work but i enjoy the practical work that owning a classic requires. For the pure driving experience, you cant beat a mini!

Hi - i have bought an 07 mini one.  Never really hot about buying a mini - it just happened.  Love it. I have not done anything to it yet - other than a wee home service of oil/spark/filters.  Don't intend to customize - like to keep it original.  Only exception would be additional lights on the front - just small ones.  Really mis having an engine temp gauge other than that - very happy.

Sounds like you have found the wrong forum. This is for classic Minis not MINIs try totalmini. Or mini2, some members do have MINIs though.

Hello All, My name is James thank you for accepting me to your forum. I currently purchased my 1991 Rover Mini from a guy near Tokyo, Japan and am really excited to get back in the community. I previously owned another 1991 Mini while I lived in Italy while working there. My new mini has work to be completed and I am ready to jump into it right away.

Hi I returned to the UK and a a present I bought myself a 2000 40th Anniversary.

I had a 850 as my first car and always regretted getting rid of it (Folly of youth).

I am thinking of bigger injectors and remapping, already have a pod on it which has helped but just want to free it up a little, any thoughts on injectors welcome

Drive is a bit of an overstatement. I own a British Open Classic, currently off road and waiting to be restored. It was my daily drive til mot failure led to it being laid up for 6 years, but that was too long.
So, with no experience or prior knowledge in going to get it back on the road. The mot failure was from rotting sills so I know there's welding to do, I'll pay for that bit but hope to do a lot of the basic mechanical and repair stuff myself.
If you're interested I'll post a link to the Facebook page I set up about it.

Wish me luck.
John

I used to own a 1966 Morris Cooper S 50 years ago, recently I finally replaced it with a 1964 1275 cooper s

It's only had a stage 3 head but mostly original dry suspension car.

I'm looking forward to some classic regularity events.

Hi All,

My first car was a C reg Mini Ritz, which I owned and worshipped in the late 1990's.  It was a great car and I loved tinkering around with it, although it was always a seat of the pants job trying to get it back together again in time for the journey back to work the following day!  Today I own a 1967 mini cooper which needs some engine fettling - fortunately it is not my daily ride and so it is a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Looking forward to getting to know this great forum resource.

Regards,

Roger
