Hello!
Just signed up to The Mini Forum after recently getting a 1992 British Open Classic- very proud of it and doesn't look in bad nick but haven't got an expert to look at it properly yet so gremlins may be uncovered! Looking forward to the summer months to really enjoy it! Are there any Yorkshire based folk on here that can recommend clubs/experts/garages for me to get involved in/contact for advice and tips on what need doing to it and how to get the best out of my Mini?
Thank you!

SW5 cam
HIF38
Maniflow freeflow and exhaust
Aldon dizzy
MED 1.3 rockers

1989 Racing Flame 998cc complete with painted Union Jack on the roof.
Completely standard at the moment but want to add a few mk1 inspired bits and bobs (10 inch wheels, mk1 grill, mk1 rear lights and boot lid, centre speedo as well Italian Job spotlamp bar and bonnet straps). Also standard engine but going to fit twin HS2 carbs, K&N filters, 12g295 (or similarly modified) head and maniflow exhaust in the future.
Love driving it and get a few looks from passers by!
James.

I don't own a mini personally I will be getting one soon. my friend has a 1993 Rover Mini Italian job special which i tend to drive about. The car is under a restoration and an engine swap. when we got the car it came with a 1974 998cc instead of a 1275cc engine which was damaged in a crash before we got it. It's currently getting body panels replaced, roll cage fitted and a new 998cc engine with probably custom made wheel arches and some extras we feel like putting on that don't make it a ricer.
I'm looking just for a mini body atm as I will be getting his old engine and rebuilding it so fingers crossed for a good one in Scotland...

Good day from California. I'm driving my second Mini which is a 1974 Innocenti Cooper 1300. Fairly stock with aftermarket wheels and flares. I've had the engine gone over and the head ported and polished. Interior repro bits by Newton. Though it still smokes a bit and I'll eventually have to do rings. I've had it for 13 years and love it more each day. Glad a Mini friend turned me on to this forum!
