Building a 25th edition with my son

So far we fitted new drivers side wing, new front end and lots of other new panels and plates.
Both sub frames have been striped powder coated red and rebuilt with new brakes and all he bearings.
We have it stripped down ready for paint, but are waiting for a space in the paint shop.

Really looking forward to putting it all back together, fitting all the new or refurbished parts back on.

Hi all on the Mini Forum. I drive a new mini and my last 3 cars have been Mini's. Totally love the drive of the mini although finally went for the more grown up 4 door this time :shy:. Being a bit of a music fan particularly the mod sound I started with a Target on the roof with some smaller targets added to wing mirrors etc. When it came to changing it I went for doing my own design of a Trojan and check design.

Now as I said I have had to grow up a little so this time I have the four door Cooper to accommodate others <_< and so far no added artwork. I'm trying to keep the 'grown-up' image although I have been tempted to go for the Northern Soul 'Keep the Faith' logo..

Cheers all

Hi all just bought my seventh (fifth classic) Mini - getting back into old Minis after two new ones (this is a second car to be treasured alongside my every day car). This 1983 Mini Sprite in Primular Yellow is immaculate and has featured in two motoring magazines and has won lots of prizes at Mini shows - might show it again next year! No modifications (apart from K&N air filter apparently) and replacement front wings and front and rear valences five years ago. All paperwork from new and genuine 45k miles from new on original 998cc engine. Chuffed to bits.

Oh, I've had lots of minis, my first was a lilac 1974 Mini1000 bought in 1975 and continually modified until it met it's end in the mid eighties, by then it was 1400cc with 13" GB alloys with Pirelli P7 tyres and dark metalic silver.

Now I drive a 2003 Cooper S Works, sorry! But I do have a 1966 Cooper S rally car!

Hello Good Afternoon and Welcome.

Hopefully sometime within the next few years I will be able to drive my shrine to the Gods of Ferrous Oxide otherwise known as a 1988 Mini Mayfair.

As I don't work due to ill health, I have loads of time to perform Major Surgery on my Project.

I used to have a Rally Car in the shape of a Mini in the early 80's and ever since yarned for another.

Job Done!

Hello to all. Was in a rush earlier and missed saying hi. Just bought a British Open Classic 1992 last week from the original owner. Nothing modified or planned apart from losing the rusty bits. Currently a lights problem I can't cure. No power to just osr light or dash lights. Everything else is fine. Fuse block and fuses are fine so nothing obvious. Running a temporary earth to lamp body made no difference. Wierd one.
Great resource, thanks in advance for any help !

Mornin'all I'm Ben, a very unusual name I must say, and I also drive a 1982 mini city 1000. Off the road for the moment and awaiting complete restoration as someone did a bad job the first time... Me, 14 years ago... since then I have learn a lot by my self and built a 1978 Special, repaired my brothers 1979 1100 Special and taking care of my girlfriends Cooper S 2000 and my dad's 1975 mk2. I am also in the process of rebuilding a 1997 mpi. Nothing special about it as a stock car but only just started it and will be up and running in 2016 hopefully as I am trying to set a personal record for dismantling and rebuilding a mini at home n°3...

Here She is before Stripping:

Attached File  Origin.gif   298.55K   11 downloads Sad to see I know... these humans have no respect...

Will try to make a Project thread when I have a minute and do a "Project so far" recap as she is naked and on stands being chopped to bits right now.

Hope I can help anyone who needs it as I have done lots of trial and error these years and maybe give back some advice in exchange of the ones I got from this site without being a member... Glad to be here now!

Ben/MacGyver
