Hi it's great to finally be apart of the gang!

I've recently purchased a Japanese import 1994 Rover Mini! In good shape but looking forward to the journey ahead.

I'd love to get in touch with other '94 Rover Mini owners and try get some insider tips!

If somebody could help clarify the model I have it would be great! I've narrowed it down to either a '94 Mini 35 Limited or '94 Mini Mayfair. It was sold as a 35 limited but some of the aesthetics don't seem to match up! Any help would be great!

Here's the first of many pictures!

Thanks again,

Aron

I tried to narrow the identification down by attempting to match the internal aesthetics such as the trimming, seats and facia - but as you rightly suggested I feel a lot has been changed todate. Similarly, it has a range of conflicting badges such as the leyland mini badge on the front, "rover" on the left side of the boot and a range of "35" decals that did not accompany the original.

Im curious, is there a method of mechanical identification accross the models? ie Engine layouts etc

Thanks for the help lads - much appreciated,

A

I have a 1960 Mini Minor, made in February with 28,800 genuine miles on the clock. It is a very original car and is in really good original condition.

Aye. Aye. How are you all?

In good fettle I trust?

We have mini 30 that i maintain on a regular basis and repair on a similar time scale, it is a nice example of the marque though and fun to be out and about the lanes in.

While having a rummage through my mothers papers I found this photo of the first mini I ever drove. My mother owned it but between me and my brother never actually got to drive it.

I think this was taken around 1980 (ish) and it is a 1975 mini but haven't a clue as to what model it was (if anyone knows please tell me 😊).

This second picture is my 1995 Mini Mayfair which has now been off the road for 7 years being totally stripped and rebuilt 😢 but due to various problems it has taken a while.

But there is finally light at the end of the tunnel, it has been resprayed baby blue and almost ready to start work on the replacement 1275 engine.

Looks like I may have a mini on the road again this year 🎉

Hello y'all from the U.S. - South Carolina, I recently acquired a Mini 25th edition. Sorted as follows:

VIN - SAXXL2S1R21259880
BODY CODE - ABE8224/2
ENGINE CODE - 99HA53P113389 (SINGLE CARB W/ TIMING CHEST, NON A+)
Note - regarding engine code, that "P" could also be a "0" due to wear.
CHASSIS CODE - B20S
Note - very difficult to read as the paint layer has made the alphanumeric nearly indecipherable.
TRIM CODE - LCG
PAINT CODE - MME

Just had it delivered and getting some engine work, on the road and motoring next week, can't wait.

I recently bough a 1990 Studio 2, 998cc, as my first car no mods yet, but gonna have a new gearbox put in as she jumps out of fourth constantly, and then ill keep the old one to tinker about with and by the end of the year the aim is to put a new engine in and be able to do the work myself :D and along the way add some cosmetic touch ups... I just love how much these Mini's need life and love put into them as well as petrol and oil ~ my hearts been taken by the classics haha :D
