Thanks. I did nothing but work on the car for the better part of six months to get it into the shape it is now. Lots of pictures of the rebuild on my site if you're interested

Just brought a 1979 Mini Clubman Estate 998cc as a family hobby car. I owned Mini's in my late teens and early 20's and can't wait to get involved again... Especially when they put this sort of a smile on my boys face! Mini.JPG 79.9K 21 downloads Mini1.JPG 68.79K 15 downloads

I just got my first Mini. It's a 1993 Sprite Saloon 1275CC Auto. I'm told automatic minis are rare. I intend to change the engine to a manual to do my driving test as I can't drive yet. Before that I have some serious patching to do and I want to respray it.
I'm stuck for colour though. Old english grey or the old mk1 almond green? The current crimson red could look a lot nicer.
Mini Autos are fairly rare but will become increasingly rare if you convert it to a manual. Why not sell it to someone who can only drive an auto, and then buy a manual mini?!

Lovely! Kept looking at this (assuming it's the same one recently on EBay?!) glad it's gone to a good home.
Yes. Was on Ebay and we snapped her up. She's part of the family now!
