My first mini and it's a 1976 mini clubman. My plans are to rebuild it from the ground up and put a 1275 engine into it. So far I have removed the front chrome number and will be smoothing the front end as I like this look. Any tips and ideas would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
kyle

Just got a 1980 Mark IV city. 998 cc engine. British racing green with a white roof and white bonnet stripes. 10inch Cheviot modgees.

Drove to Wanganui and trailered it back last week. It was my partners 16th birthday present and has been sitting in a garage for the past decade.

Not a speck of rust inside or out but, no warrant and no rego so have to get some bit and bobs done to get it back on the road. mint interior. pretty much brand new carpeting. luckily it doesn't need a full strip down inspection to get compliance.

Eventually Im going to build a 1380 for it. The MED kits look like fun! Twin carbys, disc brakes all round blah blah etc etc.

I have always wanted a mini and now I have one.

To think my partner was just going to sell it!

Mine's a 1998 "W" reg Mini Cooper MPi, which I love! It has about 72K on the clock and I've just spent £2.5K having the front of the car, bask as far as the windscreen & scuttle completely rebuilt & resprayed and it looks great now! It now needs to have the engine steady bar bushes changed, as it's developed a "click" on acceleration but it's not a big problem. Oh, and the horn sometimes doesn't work-minis are a labour of love and a "work in progress" aren't they?

Thought I'd add some photos of my 1984 Mayfair, and the changes I've made over the last year I've had her :)

Somewhere I have a lovely video finding the filler that someone had used on her as well :(

!987 Leyland Mini Mayfair 1275cc

I desperately need a spare tire first and foremost.

I plan on leveling the body which would need a 1" drop in the rear, it rides kinda high in the back, not sure why.

I'll need a negative camber kit it seems, my positive camber has to go.

Window Tint

Building a dash, most likely upholstered black vinyl, center console, and rear seat speaker board for 6x9" speakers.

also speaker upgrade.

Roof Rack removal, but that's a long way off, I want to install a sunroof and such so I'll need a new roof liner as well.

thoughts?

I will be soon driving a Austin mini 89 reg. I have had it since November and I thought it would be a good idea to have it as a first car.

I am actually after some parts if anyone can help me as mini has some missing or are broken.

thanks guys.
