Hi
Just bought a 1991 Mini Neon - 998, totally unmodified but in really good condition.
Previous owners ran a garage that restored British cars and the obviously spent plenty of time and money keeping this car up to scratch.
So looking forward to teaching my daughter to drive in this.... her first car.
Previously I've owned a 1275 GT and a City 998 - both fun to drive, reckon the City had the edge on enjoyment though.
Anyhow - here I am - with a big grin on my face

I drive a 1990 Rover Mini 1000. I have changed all the interior and some of the exterior to make it look like a cooper S. Had the car for about 3 years and is finally starting to look the part.

Im new to the site, only 19 but i have a 1983 mini sprite limited edition, had loads of work done to it, its completely standard to keep the value as high as possible, just had it reprayed. Anyone know of any other mini sprites on forums as i havent found any of my age yet! still needs a bit of work on the engine but i have my trusty hanes manual, also a little to do on the interior but the car looks exceptional on the outside!! really happy
cheers Alex

Hi all,
I've been lurking about here for years but only recently posted anything.
I drive a 1970 Morris MiniMatic (Australian) which is now 1360cc, Mk2 S box, S disc brakes and with all the engine mods has ~125HP at the crank.
I have left the MiniMatic badge on the boot to suck everybody in.
I also have a 1977 Clubby van which I am restoring for the missus.
Cheers,

1962 Mini Van. Plan to restore it to its original spec. Probably going to go for its original (i think) colour of Willow Green
It has an MOT at the moment so plan to use it till this expires, and then do a full stripdown and rebuild. Not concours or anything but just make it a nice smart mini to take to shows etc. I'm a busy guy so restoration will probably be over a couple of years initially and then rolling after that.

I hope to drive my 1992/ J reg , Spi Mini Cooper which I have just had resprayed., happy days!
I bought it 10 years ago on ebay for £800 . However it has been parked on several friends drives and garages because of divorce/ moving to somewhere with no off road parking.
Last year I started the mammoth task of cutting off rusty panels ....1/2 boot, rear valance, subframe repair panels, inner & outer wings , front panel , 2 door skins, rear quarter panels, 2 A panels , complete front scuttle & new bonnet later ....and welding completed.
Since being back from the paint shop - I have re hung the doors and put new handles on .
The near side door went on no problem , tested the latch , released perfectly .
The problem came with the Off side driver door. Again I re hung the door the fitted the handle and latch mechanism . Then tested the latch with a screw driver to check lock / unlock , all was good.
Problem I then went to open the door by pressing the release button …… nothing .
Locked and un locked ….still shut.
The door panel is off so I can see the internal part of the handle and have made sure the lever is connected to the release mechanism. I have squeezed my hand in the door aperture to try and release by hand but no joy.
So the door is closed latch down and is showing no sign of moving
Please can someone help with how to get the door open ?????
I am stumped :0/
