Not quite a daily driver yet but my 1983 mini van moved under its own power for the first time in years today. I purchased it back 2004/2005 stripped it down to start the restoration made the body solid, had it sprayed in old English white with a black roof then (all most standard colour) popped some covers over and then left it my my olds garage for 7 odd years. A drunken bet with a friend who at the age of 28 couldn't drive was laid down. He would drive me to my wedding on 30th march 2013 in my mini van! He shortly passed his test soon after......

1983 Minivan old English white with black roof
New seals all round
Rebuilt standard 998 engine
Fully rebuilt/rebushed powder coated front subframe
Brand new second hand subframe ( as good as new)
Hi lows and new donuts all round
Cooper s front brake discs
Braided brake lines
Kyb shock absorbers
Mini lite 4.5 x10 wheels
Newton commercial tartan red interior
Newton commercial black carpet set including load bed
Fully re trimmed standard seats in tartan red
Next purchase is 13 inch dished moto lita steering wheel

Needless to say its been an expensive and busy couple of months!!

But that first drive will be priceless!

Luke

Hi guys, I've been on this forum for a while but haven't really posted much. I've had quite a few minis over the years including vans, a pick up and a minus.

My current Mini is a 1991 Mini City, she's done about 42,000 but is now starting to look a bit tired so I've been getting the panels together to do the sills, A panels and door bottoms.

I've fitted Cooper S brakes, GB 10 x 6 minilite style alloys, Koni dampers, Ripspeed hi-los, a cooper freeflow manifold and a stainless large bore RC40 millenium exhaust. The interior is stock apart from a KAD quickshift and steering column drop bracket.

Plans for next year are to replace the original arches with W&P style ones, some different 10" alloys, stainless bumpers and I've got a 1275cc engine sat in the shed awaiting some attention.

Here's a few pics:

Not been on a forum for quite some time and never a car forum so bare with me if I waffle on a little, I have a 1990 cooper which I have owned for 7 years, had major rebuild works carried out to both body and mechanics around 6 years ago, loads of new panels and full respray in british racing green metalic with original white roof and cooper laurel, lcb with boxter stainless exhaust, high lows and just purchsed a set of 11/4 twin carbs to fit.

Rover Mini cooper 2000, its had a stage 1 exhausted fitted before I brought it but all else is standard.

Plans to get some work done to it by someone with experience and time to work of it as it has a few issues. e.g. floor plan is wet as its been sitting outside for a few months and engine mis-firing at 60-65.

APart from that the car is amazing :)

Hi, I own a 1972 Mini Cooper 'S' Replica. I have been restoring it now for nearly 3 Years. This includes a total rebuild of basically every nut bolt and washer. My aim is to get it completed for the Mini Nationals at labour weekend 2013 which is being held in my home town. I have just recently got the body back from the paint shop. The colour is Brittish Racing Green with Police White roof and bonnet stripes. I am looking forward to the day when I can turn the key.

Hi all,

A Dutch entry here - I am Otto, I live in Amsterdam and 2 years ago I enriched my life with a 1996 Mini Spi Balmoral Edition. This is a 90's LE which has an interior similar to the Sidewalk, but in better colours (in my opinion). It is grey metallic with green/red interior, and comes with an open roof as a standard.

Apart from enjoying it, I have fitted a central DTM exhaust, K&N, clear lenses all round and spotlamps. Obviously the mechanics still need to be worked on, as the wish list is never ending! I am currently refurbishing a Stage 3 head and 1,5 roller rockers to fit at a later stage, and just bought a set of 7,9 inch vented discs and 4 pot calipers. Would love to switch to 10 inch wheels once this kit is fitted and I can find a decent set!
