1983 Mini Mayfair. It's RHD with an automatic transmission. The Odometer shows 29,000 miles and I believe it to be authentic. It runs like a top, uses no oil, all the instruments work. It's quite nice as is, I'm a bit torn between restoring it to as original as possible and looking into some kind of Resto-Mod. At this point, I'm just enjoying the car and the quasi-rock star status it seems to impart. People take pictures at lights, cluster around it in parking lots---most of them either don't know what it is ("That's not a Mini-Cooper"!!!--No, those are little BMW's--"Really??So, it's not a Mini-Cooper??" No, it isn't. It's a Mini, it's British. The Coopers were high performance Minis--this is not a fast car...). Anyway, it's a neat little car and it'd be nice to talk to folks that know a lot about them.

Hi all,

just joined, I have two minis.

1. 1968 Austin Super Delux (green). Waiting for an engine but has full cage, seats, 6 point harnesses, fully adjustable suspension and a set of original Cosmics that I am cleaning up at the moment. This has been a work in progress since I got her in April 2009 - I go away with work a lot............

2. 1971 Austin (Gold) mini sporting a 1380 Power for Peanuts engine with a Webber 45 and 116 BHP from the last rolling road seasion (1998!!), full cage, 'works' style dash and wiring, rose jointed suspension and a webasto sunroof - I found her in march 2012 at the back of a shed at work, apparently she had been there for at least 8 odd years.

Hi,

I currently own a South African mini pick-up - '67, 998 with hs4 carb and Australian doors otherwise fairly standard.
I also own a City E - '87, this is all pretty standard apart from the minilites.

:D

I drive a 57 reg Black Mini Cooper with red half leather seats. I plan to put chrome mirror caps on to match the other chrome detail on the car (thats a deffinate) and possibly red bonnet stripes.....what does everyone think?! Advice appreciated :-) !

Posted ImageMy 1992 mini 1000 city E which was a tree find bought for a 1000 quid in March this year, I then thought i'd bought a donor car after discovering all of the bodge work underneath so she had a whole new floor, drivers side wing, drivers side a panel, inner sills, outer sills, door steps, rear subframe mounting panels, half of the drivers side inner wing, drivers side hinge pillar, and a rear valance panel. After cutting and welding all of this on she then had a full respray for 300 quid. She's not 100% complete yet but this is how she stands now :)

Hi,

March here from California, USA. Just got my 68 Morris mini 850. A little new with minis but I enjoy the ownership and the people who drive the same. Has been upgraded to a 1275 by the previous owner. Looking forward to meeting people who love this great car.

I've got a 1987 Mini City E. He's a solid little motor but just needs a few cosmetic bits tidying :)
