A 1993 Mayfair with oversills, paint that appears to have been brushed on in places, a center mounted dtm exhaust, electrical gremlins, and mildew inside.

Hi,

From South Africa - The new proud owner of a 1976 Leyland Mini Panel Van :shifty:
Have a 1275e (12HEH A-) Engine with branches etc. waiting to go in for starters.
Provided I can get everything working and fitting right as this is my first restoration ever.

The sticker on the bonnet reads: Lamborgreeny - So it must be good :mmkay:

Thanks and wish me luck,

K

I recently bought a cherry red mini thirty. I'm learning to drive in it which is what I've always wanted. She completely original even down to the speakers on the back shelf! Some parts of the body work need attention and changing to third gear is proving difficult so me and my dad have got some work to do yet. Already been asked to sell her twice but I can't imagine letting her go! :ohno:

Morning all, just signed up to this forum so thought I'd do the intro:

Got: Mini City 86
30500 miles 2 owners from new
Stage 1 Maniflow / K&N Filter
Jet unknown!
Revolution 12x6 with Yokes
Hairdresser style cream Recaro-a-likes with matching rear. (gf's colour scheme but I have my doubts)
Fluffy dice

Needs: new A panels, wings, window seals, carpet.
Since the stage 1 was fitted it has a nasty vibration through the car that the mechanic who fitted it has not put right in two visits (is the vibration normal?!)

Wants: all bodywork sorting and a re spray, possible engine work like head change or 1275 lump. Tachometer/oil p/temp gauges would be nice oh and to stop the fan rattling on the cowling - at tick over its sounds like someone playing the saucepans, this is not the look I'm going for :)

That's it for now, off to find the miscellaneous rattle section

if the stage 1 kit included a "cheap" lcb then you can bet that its hitting the floor which will cause the vibration...
