Hi, we are the proud new owners of a 1275cc SPi Equinox in Amaranth.
Its a standard car apart from some nasty alloys (we have the original steel wheels and trims) and the LCB exhaust.
Within the first week of ownership, I have completely undersealed the car and fixed up the water ingress problem due to oversills with no drainage.

The forum nick is due to the original owner naming our car "Monty"

Plans are to restore "Monty" to his original (optomistic) condition.
No mods for this car, with only 32,000 miles on the clock (with the paperwork to back it up). It deserves to kept original.

We will hopefully be making our way to the Mini event at Uttoxeter Racecourse in September. We only live in South Derbyshire so its 30 minutes away!

Hi all, I unfortunately don't own a mini at the moment, I have owned a 1989 mini city, a 1990 mini 30, a mini parkland and a mini Mayfair. I'm currently looking for either a mini cooper s, or custom mini.

If anyone knows of any going, please let me know.

Looking forward to driving a little minx again soon.

Cheers

Craig

Currently driving a 1991 998cc mini -- I've been doing it up and now it's ready to sell. It's a real beauty (well, I think so!) - brilliant blue with a totally unique interior. I love it. Am having lots of fun with it....kinda hoping it doesn't sell to fast! Ah well, if it does, it won't be long till I get the next one :-)

Hi.

I've got an '89 mini 30 in maroon.

I've only had it a couple of weeks but so far the only work I've done on it was to make it road worthy.

Fix the indicators and brake lights. Fit a new battery. Re-wire the front spots so the relay, fuse and connections are all inside the car and not in the engine bay. I've had to fit new lock barrels and I need a new coil today so I can start it without jump leads.

I've got the stainless wiper kit, tie-bar bushes and wheel bearings on order and I need to persuade the wiper motor to work properly. It sometimes won't stop and then the wiper arm falls off. My girlfriend laughed herself silly the first time that happened.

I also need new doors soon as its having a re-spray. I'm going for OEW but with the pearlescent ruby on the trim and roof.

I've had the RAC out to it twice too.

I'd love to get down to any clubs near Lancaster to have a look at some finished ones. Maybe a club fancies a run out near me for the best ice-cream parlour in the world?

Wish me luck

Gareth

1989 Sky 1000, with a stage 1 and some Rover minilites. Had it about six years. Needs a bit of work on some rust, but petty tidy for the age. Great fun for pootling around in. Always feels like you're going fast!

I've been following this thread since last November and haven't posted a pic of My mini.

It's a 1978 Canadaina Edition 1000 Deluxe.

Since I got it, I've redone the fuel Lines, all the cooling, K&N Air filter, Brakes, Suspension, had alternator rebuilt, a new battery, Arches, Stripes, added Driving Lights, Reverse Lights and a Stereo and a roof rack. Here's a few pics.
