Hello!

I have a 1989 mini 1000 city, which I have owned for a few months! It's In need of allot of love as I rescued it from someone who couldn't give it the time and effort, I have however inherited a load of bodge jobs, rust and holes.

My mini is a 998 1969 Ecuadorian Van/Estate. There are very, very few of these as they were imported to foreign locales as vans with steel sides but estate floors to bypass the higher tax on cars as opposed to utility vehicles. The buyer would pruchase it as a van drive it around the block and back to the dealership were they would cut out the windows, put it fixed ones, and install a rear seat kit.
It's got lots 'o rust and bondo, but it's unique and I like it. I'll post pics soon and I'm trying to get more info on it as its history is a little murky other than were it came from and what it is.

I have a 1967 Mini Morris Cooper vin KA2S4L with pretty much all Innocenti everything. Even the motor is Innocenti 12H 719 1835. Body has extenal hinges and looks to be a MK1 checked glass date codes are 1966 2nd qtr, rear latch is 1966, 23 week. Interior is Inno with 1972 style export guages. The rear lights are MK2 Inno, the rear boot is Inno and is marked "Mini Cooper 1300". It has two gas tanks, one is Inno with paint codes Verde Chiaro, and Nero. The car was originally green with a white top (HA). The wiring harness is Inno with wipers front and rear and a rear demist. It has MK3 front and rear subframes. The bonnet has the morris cooper s mk1 badges and mk2 grille.

Pieces of this and that, a "bitsa".

I like the original paint scema (green and white top) but right now it's two tone blue on blue. I have steel wheels 6x10" white which look great. I have a another 1275 to install and the original inno unit. I think I'll make the 1275 into a driver for now and then rebuild the Inno unit. I really need to gut the interior and i think I'll keep the Inno theme going and simply replace the inno interior like it is (well no red seat inserts). I also have a set of south african 6 spoke wheels but I don't care much for them. My plan is to get it running.

I used to have a 1967 Cooper S, it was blue with white top. Totally original, but I was too poor to restore so I sold it off. I always wanted another and this car will do great!Attached File  IMG_05221.JPG   64.24K   11 downloads

Hello to all, I have just purchased a 1977 Mini 1275GT in Old English White and she is a beauty! That is apart from the blowing exhaust and the incorrect MKII seats (without floor locking mechanisum) that have been fitted and will no doubt fail an MOT?

So first task is to sort the seats and change for a later spec and get that exhausted fixed.

This all takes me back to the mid 80's and my first car - midlife crises I hear you cry!! :)
