Just purchased a 1992 rover mini open classic with 69000 genuine mileage on the clock.
Looking to start some maintenance/restoration work but dont know where to start.
I think theres a very slight oil leak dripping down to sump and the brakes are really stiff (dont know if this is normal)

Until recently daily driver was wife's '97 MPI Cooper
About 4 years ago I turned my daily drive '94 Black Monte Carlo into a weekend warrior
When my son was born we treated 'him' to a 1969 Morris Mini Traveller which i sympathetically restored about a year ago!!
Now all except the Hillclimber hardly get out anymore.....need to do something about that.
Owned Minis since before I could drive...

Does your Hillclimber have a CF front and 12" D1's? It was the car that made me hunt for a set of 12" d1's when I first saw pics of it about a year ago, finally got a set of genuine ones last week!

Yes ! it's Fun driving a Mini since 1992 the first ever Mini I drove everyday When I finish this one last September. ! I never have oil leaks at the floor garage and with A/c you can't go wrong. It's like driving a Honda on a Mini body and 5 speed is not an option!. I believe I have perfected the D15 conversion with all Honda Parts, By the way even the front brakes are Honda and so as the back plates. Here is my frame laser cut , mandrel bended and powder coated.Mini fab, that one looks a lot of fun! And LHD too... that's what I need!
and with the engine mounted
My conversion doesn't need front nose extension and wheel base of the Mini is standard, You could still have aligned to your local auto shop with the standard Rover specs. Here is my one off client
and another one
