Now the Acewell unit has a fuel gauge but not temp and there is the standard fuel gauge on the speedo
My plan is to use the standard fuel gauge as the temp gauge after painting some red and blue sections on the face and use the Acewell guage as the fuel
So home from work a bit early, the benefits of flexi hours!

dismantled the fuel gauge to paint some red and blue sections on it

Also enlarged the hole in the centre of the standard face to allow the Acewell unit to sit lower in the face and so fit behind the standard glass level. Basically used a dremel type tool with a grinding bit and just kept going round and round in circles untill the hole was big enough

I have also cut a perspex disc to replace the standard glass which will allow me to drill some holes in the front to allow the Acewell buttons to be pressed. Need to find something / make something to act as the buttons

Roughly assembled into the 3 dial pod, but wont be using the 2 52mm dials as going to use the ones from current dashboard

No progress on the pedal as yet
Think photobucket is playing up as photos wont appear

Right have been running around on the bike carbs for a couple of weeks now and can report the following:
Noise is a lot more civilised than the weber when cruising at a steady speed. When you plant the loud pedal there is noise I would say equal to a weber.
Power at the wheels as the rolling road is the same but torque from low down is soooooooooooo much better much improved.
Fuel ecomeny when being sensible with the right pedal is also better than the weber and no worse than the weber when you start to play.
only things I need to sort out:
extra return spring for the throttle
paint and fit the adjusted pedal
Dash also nearly ready to fit just sorting out some bulbs and still need the wiring plug to finally wire it in
cheers

Pedal - got it painted and fitted so much easier to drive a lot smoother and more refined control
you can see where the pivot point has been moved and the top part of the arm is shorter

Bike carbs - fingured out the fuel gauge is miss reading how much fuel is left (well it is a mini) so the I reckon (am going to do some testing and recording of mileage to check) the carbs are working very well and effiently
Dashboard - got the new dash all ready to fit bar final bits of wiring (thanks Toucheaway for the connector)
so far striped all the existing dash out and trimmed the central pod around the weber box
