Hopefully going to get it welded sat, there was a bit of measurement to work out the pull required for the carbs then where this would be on the standard pedal and cut. going to sort out a cable clamp on the pedal also

Was it about an inch or a little less?
Why not just use a normal cable clip?

30mm but yet to see if correct !

I can't use a normal cable because the bike carbs have a nipple :withstupid: at the carb end so the clamp has to be at the pedal end

I've actually used a bike brake cable and will probably be another bit of bike to use as a clamp welded to the pedal

We used a bike brake cable,
shortened it and put a new end (short bit of brake pipe soldered on works perfectly) on as well as the adjustable bit from an SPI accel cable.

Thats not a bad idea but if the cable should ever break then trying to solder something on may be difficult  where as a standard bike cable is easy- just my thoughts

Or you could use one of the screw on stops  then as long as you dont loose it it wouldnt be hard to fix/apply to a new cable.

Didnt get the pedal done at all but after charging the battery for a couple of hours as she hasnt been started for can't remeber how long. Started secong turn of the key so all looks okay ran it and got up to temp, think I may need to have another go it setting the rockers as think I have either missed one or got one slighlty out. Tomorrow job, think she also deserves a wash and polish before MOT, always helps.

Was going to be there anyway Ed just in the work wagon!

Dont think I'm going to book another RR session till the MJ is up and running as the last valve to go only went when we went for the final power run so all fueling was sorted by that point.

Would be a waste of money really just for a pub talk figure but my backside dyno says its def got a lot more low down torque and top speed is the same hence top end power hasnt suffered.

Ended up going for a drive tonight, def going to have to sort the pedal modification as hit a bump mid corner with a sensitive pedal as you either end up adding more power or get lift off oversteer :ermm:

Anyway next little project is to get rid of this dash (comes out worse in the photo than it is - carbon fibre effect)

Want to try and get back to something like this, just prob not the steering wheel and def not converting to auto!

but incorparating one of these (not this model thou)
