Don't be too put off by us Joff, we TMFers tend to be quite jovial on the forum, maybe sometimes too much. Personally I'm glad to have someone with as much experience and knowledge as yourself on TMF!
Yeah, what he said.

The Mini Sprint in red is in-fact the original Neville Trickett MiniSprint Racer, without itsdon't quote me on this, but the red car at the end (far right ) looks like the roof chopped pick up of a member of west country mini's....... not 100% sure...... i'm off for a look..........
race engine (which we have), and 5-speed Colotti-Francis Box,

and without Nev's original steering-wheel [which we also have]

and converted for road-use ... SEE HERE
You know what it says on every engineering drawing "If in-doubt, don't scale or guess, ASK !!"
Want to know where the car is now? SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE LINK

stewart and arden bought the rights for the sprint but nevile trickett reckons they only made a couple and then shut down making them. he believes they only bought it to stop making them. (from miniworld this month not word for word though)
Very interersting read!
Now if Stuart and Arden bought the rights how can Nevile start making them again?
Will British Heritage not be annoyed?
Directed to Jofppjracing (as he seems to know his stuff

BMW DONT OWN Mini, they do however own MINI.
Heritage OWN Mini, they will come at you with lawyers and big stick if you make a Mini in Composite (see bit about Hawk now)
Hawk made Composite Minis, Pickups and "Sprint" shells. Due to Heritage owning the rights to Mini and the Mini Shape they said stop making em unless you give us over £2,000 per car (i have yet to find out how much they want, since no-one wants to tell me for obvious reasons) and as such they wouldnt be able to sell any cars at the price they needed to sell at to make it profitable.
However, if you take a steel shell and chop it up, its NOT a NEW Mini and theirfore does not affect the Heritage Rights (which covers NEW Shells).
If you are making or supplying Mini shells in Composites without Heritage Permission then you are breaking the law.
Heritage will find you, you will get a letter, you will go to court.
