If I didn't have to wait over a month for the last parts to come in I might be tempted to swap but for now I just made it work!!

So the parts were installed and the motor dropped back in!!!

So now comes the fun part.
I'm just glad I'm living in Italy so I can enjoy all this spagetti.

A little more progress...
Got the sensors and ECM connected.
and the laptop hooked up.

Looks like most is doing fine but I still haven't got the IAC to drive yet.
More work to do there.
Only 4 wires so if I can't get it to go then I may have to run without it!!
Throttle position is working good.
Map sensor is good.
Temp appears to be close altough it may read a little high compared to the GM sensor. Will have to watch it!
Still need to plumb the fuel and wire in the power relays once I know it all works!!

Well It's almost there.
It's in and running. Fuel is just about done.
Timing still needs work!!

I'm clocking about 2700rpm and about 55mph(90kmh). 3300 at 110kmh and 3800 at 130kmh. I only ran it up to 140kmh for right now. still new!!
Based on some of the other discussions I'm assuming this A+ tranny must have been a 3.40?????

Haven't gotten back to it yet.
Just running with out it for now.
I left the 4 wires outside my harness so I can play with them without removing the outer casing each time!!

I have some rattles to fix.
Think my new exhaust is touching the body.
I had to redo the whole thing twice.
The first system only had 2 straight through resonators and it really crackled loud!!
The wife heard me drive it all the way around our little town and up to the highway.

So I removed the rear resonator and added a straight through muffler.
Quieter but still not quiet!!

Bill, top job my man.
When I visited Al* in Canada, it was expensive for him (but I managed to save him a few pennies(cents) ), how have you found the costs of this?
Are parts readily available, or do they need to be ordered from the UK?

I have been ordering parts from the UK and trying to buy used from a lot of guys on here when I can.

I met Starrider on here and he is also in the US military and is stationed in the UK.
So He has been graciously forwarding all my purchases from the UK to me.
The shipping out of the UK is outrageous.
I'm really going to hate it when I'm back in the US and Starrider is no longer in the UK!!

I really hate MiniMania's prices!!

I am in USA now but i am lucky as i can use my BFPO address to get stuff sent to me for the same cost as UK postage just takes a fair bit longer to get to me.

just spotted something bill, the hose from your thermostat housing goes to the top of the radiator!! unless you have a blanking rad cap it shudnt do this, with a standard cap it'll jstu vent off all the pressure past the cap and boil nicely!!

Ya, Just didn't take the time to work out something else.
A cap on the housing looked tacky but I don't have or really want to mount the later style expansion tank up by the wiper motor.

So I took the lazy way out for now.

Come summer i will need to move it.
Right now I have a 13psi cap on it.

Thanks for asking
